    The purpose of this paper is to present to the Brasilian reader some aspects of the most important German prose text from the 17th century, the novel 'Simplicissimus Teutsch' (1668), and its author, Hans Jacob Christoffel von Grimmelshausen (1621/2-1676). In addition, it treats Grimmelshausen's possible contacts with the political theories of his time. ; Die Absicht dieses Aufsatzes besteht darin, dem brasilianischen Leser einige Aspekte des wichtigsten deutschen Prosatextes des 17. Jahrhunderts, des Romans 'Simplicissimus Teutsch' (1668), und seines Autors Hans Jacob Christoffel von Grimmelshausen (1621/2-1676), vorzustellen. Ausserdem behandelt er die möglichen Kontakte Grimmelshausens zu den politischen Theorien seiner Zeit.
