    T. 3, Annexes : extraits inédits des cahiers de Jeanne Perdriel-Vaissière La destinée d’une poétesse des années 1900, Jeanne Perdriel-Vaissière (1870-1951), attire l’attention par l’appui que son inspiration féminine nouvelle trouve dans l’enracinement régional. Auteur de huit recueils de poèmes, animatrice d’un salon littéraire à Brest entre 1900 et 1920, elle a, avec ses origines et ses sympathies occitanes, entretenu une relation essentielle avec la Bretagne. Installée dans le cadre breton en 1880, elle y trouve son modèle et son milieu littéraires, les paysages qui favorisent la définition de sa personnalité, les gens qui incarnent sa conception de la vie, l’imaginaire approprié à ses valeurs morales et sociales. Elle fait sienne l’âme celtique qui libère sa réflexion sur les questions vives de son époque : la destinée de la femme, l’art de vivre, la fonction et la forme de la poésie. Une interrogation chinoise examine ici celle intégration volontaire et le rôle de la poésie dans cet enracinement Jeanne Perdriel-Vaissière (1870-1951) is a poetess of the 1900’s whose destiny draws our attention on what support her feminine inspiration got from her regional settling. Hostess of a literary salon in Brest between 1900 and 1920, she published eight books of poetry. Along with her Occitan origins and friendships she succeeded in maintaining a special relationship with Brittany. In 1880, she had previously settled down in Brittany, where she could both find a model and a favorable literary environment. Elements like the landscapes were favorable to the definition of her personality. In the same way, local people embodied her conception of life, the imaginary fitted with her moral and social values. Thus, Celtic soul became hers and freed her mind on crucial matters of the time such as: woman’s destiny, art of living or the function and the form of poetry. Here the questioning of a Chinese studies the reason of this voluntary integration and the very part poetry played in this settling

    Francisco Nieva (1924, Valdepeñas, Espagne) est un artiste protéiforme. Peintre de formation, on le connaît essentiellement pour son théâtre et ses romans. L’objet de ce travail est de redonner pleine existence au peintre-dramaturge en approchant les divers versants de sa création sous l’angle de l’image projetée et du spectacle total. Mon corpus met en relation quelques tableaux originels, les cahiers de dessins de l’artiste, sept pièces de théâtre et un roman. Après avoir montré comment le parcours artistique de Francisco Nieva livre la trace d’une projection continuelle de l’image, de médium en médium, je m’intéresse à la visibilité du théâtre niévien sur la scène espagnole, parce qu’elle est gage d’une visibilité de l’image. Au nombre des auteurs frappés de non représentabilité, Francisco Nieva rejoint alors Ramón María del Valle-Inclán ou Federico García Lorca. Enfin, j’étudie le processus d’avènement de l’image depuis le laboratoire graphique, à la lumière des analyses d’Áron Kibédi Varga, de W. J. T. Mitchell et de Hans Belting. Je montre notamment que la création de Francisco Nieva construit le passage de l’« image-texte » à l’« imagetexte » et fait advenir une scène primitive revisitée, transgressive car inscrite dans ce que Michel Foucault nomme le « dispositif de sexualité ». L’étude des cahiers de dessins personnels de l’artiste me permet de repérer sur la scène graphique l’hybridité définitoire de son théâtre, synthèse entre la tradition et les avant-gardes. L’avènement théâtral, sous le signe de l’esprit d’enfance et du petit théâtre en carton, marque quant à lui le passage de la vision graphique aux tableaux très cadrés de la représentation scénique Francisco Nieva (1924, Valdepeñas, Spain) is a protean performer. Trained as a painter, he is mainly known for his plays and novels. The aim of this work is to bring the painter-playwright back into full light through looking at the different sides of his creation from the angle of the projected image and the complete show. My corpus looks at some of his original paintings, the artist’s sketch books, seven plays and a novel. After showing how Francisco Nieva’s artistic career follows a continuous trail of image projection, from medium to medium, I will look at the visibility of nievien theatre on the Spanish stage, which shows image visibility. Along with Ramón María del Valle-Inclán or Federico García Lorca, Francisco Nieva’s works were banned from being performed. Finally, I will study the accession process of the image from the graphic laboratory, to the light of Áron Kibédi Varga’s, W. J. T. Mitchell’s and Hans Belting’s analysis. I will show that Francisco Nieva’s works progress from « image-text » to « imagetext » and create a revisited primitive stage, which is transgressive as it is what Michel Foucault calls « dispositif de sexualité ». My study of the artist’s personal sketch books enables us to see the defining hybridity of his theatre on the graphic stage, a synthesis of tradition and avant-garde.     Cette thèse cherche à interroger une notion-clé des écrits de Maurice Blanchot, aussi bien difficile que délicate, et très peu mise en question par la théorie et la critique littéraires contemporaines : le neutre. Blanchot y reconnaît la condition essentielle de la littérature, mais cette notion semble se soustraire à toute approche théorique de type dialectique. Échappant à toute forme d'affirmation ou de négation, de présence ou d'absence, d'objectivité ou de subjectivité, comment peut-on alors s'y rapporter, comment s'en approcher, quel type de discours en permettrait une juste entente, philosophique et littéraire? Si une telle série de questions réclame une entente du neutre pour ainsi dire « frontale » et pas moins vouée à l'échec, j'ai tenté de l'aborder par le détour de ses effets en procédant, par des analyses ponctuelles, à une sorte de po(i)étique de la manière dont le neutre se présente chez Blanchot, de nature à rendre possible une double distanciation : d'abord, en deçà des effets de lecture et de pensée suscités par le neutre, comment se présente la lettre de Blanchot, de quel type de rhétorique se soutient-elle, dans les récits, les fragments et l'écriture «critique»? Je me suis ensuite intéressée à l'accueil que les œuvres de Levinas et Derrida réservent à la question du neutre : manière d'observer chez deux auteurs qui entretiennent avec l'œuvre de Blanchot un rapport difficile, le pli que font dans la pensée, l'entente, la distance et l'écriture, le long d'une lecture appelée ici dans les traces The Ph.D. thesis The manners and the effects of the Neutral. Reading Blanchot in the traces of Levinas and Derrida aims at exploring the meaning and uses of a key concept in Maurice Blanchot's theoretical writings: the neutral, a notion difficult to seize and seldom discussed in recent literary theory. In Blanchot's view, the neutral is the fundamental ontological condition of literature, but to analyze his way of understanding it is a challenging task, since the neutral is impossible to tackle by means of a dialectic approach. In these circumstances, a direct conceptual analysis cannot but fail, and that is why I opted for a methodological reduction which enabled me to consider the neutral from an "oblique" perspective. The primary question my thesis tries to answer is therefore not "What is the neutral?", but "What does the neutral do?" (i.e. what are the effects it produces), and how (in what manner it acts). From my point of view, this strategy creates a double critical distance: on the one hand, the diverse consequences the neutral had in the field of post-war French literature and philosophy notwithstanding, it allows me to deal with Blanchot's writing, that is with the rhetoric it is based upon in both his fiction and his essays; on the other hand, my analysis of the place and reception of such a notion in Levinas' and Derrida's works allows me to understand and stress out the fold that critical insight, conceptual detachment and writing create in their thought, given their complex relationship with Blanchot's oeuvre
