    Par l'analyse critique des procédures d'établissement des éditions, et de circulation des commentaires, cette étude montre comment au fil du temps, à partir de quatre pages manuscrites dont la transcription, pourtant, oblige à des interventions qui réduisent à peu sa prétendue authenticité, une tradition a pu mettre en place et perpétuer ce que l'on désigne aujourd'hui le plus ordinairement du nom vague de "Pari de Pascal". La grande diversité des délimitations, dénominations, leçons, interprétations, que l'on ne peut en aucune manière considérer comme une progressive venue au jour de la véritable forme d'un texte, engage à contester l'économie de la textualité, à faire voir comment la série des éditions et des commentaires produit, dans un mouvement de répétitions, ce qu'elle représente comme sa propre origine, et institue ains ce qu'elle désigne comme un texte et un auteur This study shows how four manuscript pages happened to become through the ages what is nowadays most usually known as the "Pari de Pascal" ("Pascal's wager"), one of the famous pieces of the so called "Pensées de Pascal". A critical analysis of publication editing procedures and commentary circulation demonstrates that they were established and perpetuated as a text by a tradition through many operations of transcription which greatly reduce their supposed authenticity. As we explore the wide range of delimitations, denominations, philological lectures, and interpretations, which these pages underwent and which can in no way be considered as a progressive bringing to light of the text true form, we are led to contest the economy of textuality, and to show how the series of publications and commentaries produces, in a process of repetitions, the very object that it depicts as its own origin, and how this series constructs and institutes what it represents as a text and an author

Cette polysémie découle d'un processus rédactionnel complexe, dont le texte conserve de nombreuses traces, qui se cristallise en quatre discours distincts dissimulés dans autant de récits aussi bien autonomes qu'interdépendants: une théologie plurivoque, en même temps extatique et symbolique, véhiculée par l'histoire hybride de Lithargoël, à la fois allégorie du salut de l'âme et psychanodie, un enseignement euthymique transmis par le Jésus ressuscité d'une scène épiphanique, une théologie diaconale et une théorie novatrice de la mission chrétienne, corollaires d'un récit missionnaire, et enfin une théologie ascétique et une apologie de la perpétuation de l'Église, renfermées dans une ample métaphore de l'endurance. Si la dernière étape de sa composition peut être attribuée à un cercle mélétien du tout début du IVe siècle, cet apocryphe semble circuler, non seulement en Égypte mais aussi à Rome, en Nubie et en Palestine, au moins jusqu'au XIIe siècle."

    Tous les éléments, textuels et visuels, de DDD de Paul Valéry participent à une mise en scène de l'instabilité, déjouant les attentes du lecteur. Pour ce faire Valéry fait usage d'une rhétorique, souvent classique, qui sait s'adjoindre les ressources du figural. Confronté à leurs effets, le lecteur doit accepter la déroute comme principe de lecture. Cet effet d'égarement est renforcé par une matière textuelle et visuelle dynamique. DDD, échappant à la clôture et à l'inertie, exige une perpétuelle circulation du regard. Des temporalités coexistent. La capacité de transformation de DDD suscite une interrogation sur la ligne mimique, en relation avec la "formule pathique" warburgienne. Altérant la figure humaine, la mimique entraîne une réflexion sur l'informe, dont Degas et Valéry jouent selon les moyens de leur art Degas, Danse, Dessin by Paul Valéry can't fail to surprise the reader : all the elemnts, both textual and visual, actually take part in a production of instability. That is why everything works towards presenting a text which is very far from the most conventional formal and hermeneutic expectations. Valéry is writing here for the reader to choose his own rhythm, even if i/he is subtly led according to the author's design. The taste of polymorphism -structural, narrative but also using the text-picture relations- is quite effective. to rich is aim, Valéry sets up a singular rhetoric, knowing how to take advantage of the material means of the book, confirming its suspensive function. The ressources of the figural, bursting in the order of the discourse, have to be associated with the rhetorical means. Between rhetoric and figural, the reader has to accept to be disconcerted. Moreover, some formal flexibility - structural, thematic and metaphorical - holds one's attention : the animal reference, for instance, conveys the energy of the movement, embodied by the figure of a dancer. DDD favours a visual reading, like a polyptych. The look has to circulate, letting different coexisting temporalities, which give to the form a real power of transformation. The latter conveys a questionning about the virtues of gesture. From the "gesture line" of Degas as the "movement of life found in the Greeks time" to the pathic formula, after the warburgian terminology, a relation of closeness has to be considered. Distorting the human figure, the gesture leads to a reflexion on the undefined, interval between two forms, that Degas and Valéry use according to the means of their art

Ces narrations viatiques ne constituent pas un ensemble qui peut être séparé du reste du texte autobiographique, mais, au contraire, elles constituent la structure même des volumes mémoriels. Le but de cette thèse est de dégager l’importance du récit de voyage dans l'œuvre autobiographique beauvoirienne, et de dessiner un portrait de Simone de Beauvoir en voyageuse, en étudiant précisément la manière dont elle se présente à son lecteur Travel narratives are very present in Beauvoir's autobiography, from the Memolrs of a Dutiful Daughter (1958), until AH Said and Done (1972), through The Prime of Life (1960), and by Force of Circumstance (1962), These narratives do not a set that can be separated from the rest of the autobiographical text, but, on the contrary, they constitute the very structure of memorial volumes. The trip is not the opportunity of a scattering, but a concentration on the person Simone de Beauvoir.     Le théâtre nondramatique désigne une conception et une pratique du théâtre propre aux avant-gardes historiques parisiennes, et plus particulièrement à Gertrude Stein, aux dadaïstes et aux surréalistes. Bien qu'elles soient davantage connues pour leurs autres pratiques comme la littérature, la poésie ou la peinture, voire pour leur refus de la catégorie d'art même, le théâtre semble cependant hanter leurs productions et leurs discours. Par le refus des conventions du théâtre dramatique - de la structure narrative à la présence de personnages et à celle d'acteurs pour les incarner - Gertrude Stein, Dada et le surréalisme développent tous à leur façon une oeuvre théâtrale critique qui forment ensemble un panorama de l'antithéâtralisme propre à la modernité, mais aussi un répertoire des alternatives et variantes pensées par rapport au théâtre. Les théâtres de Gertrude Stein, de Dada et des surréalistes sont analysés au prisme des révolutions scientifiques et philosophiques de leur époque, parmi lesquelles les théories de William James se révèlent fondamentales. Dans ce contexte, les "conversation" et "landscape plays" de Stein, les soirées dadaïstes et les nombreux manifestes, comme leurs pièces de théâtre sont compris comme autant de tentatives de redéfinir le théâtre. Le théâtre nondramatique est ainsi compris comme un ensemble de théâtralités fondées sur la redéfinition de l'acte théâtral, comme la primauté du verbe, celle de l'acte performatif, et de la refonte de la communication théâtrale entre l'oeuvre et le spectateur-lecteur. De nouvelles définitions du sujet et du théâtre se font alors jour au carrefour des trois concepts esthétiques fondamentaux pour les avant-gardes : la métâthéâtralité comprise comme métalepse ontologique, la simultanéité et enfin le primitivisme Nondramatic theater refers to a theatrical conception and an artistic practice developed by the historical Parisian avant-gardes, and more precisely by Gertrude Stein, Dadaists, and surrealists. Even though they are more commonly acknowledged for their other achievements in literature, poetry or painting, or even for their rejection of art as a category, yet, theater seems to haunt their productions and discourse. By their refusal of dramatic conventions - from the narrative structure, to the characters and the actors to incarnate them - Gertrude Stein, Dada and surrealism all develop their own critical theatrical works which form together a panorama of the antitheatricalism proper to the Modern era, but also some alternatives and variations to it thought in relation to theater. The plays by Gertrude Stein, Dada and Surreaslim are analyzed through the lens of the scientific and philosophical revolutions of their time, among which William James' theories are fundamental. Stein's conversation and landscape plays, but also the Dada evenings and the numerous manifestoes, can be considered as a variety of attempts to redefine what is theater. Nondramatic theater is thus understood as a set of theatricalities based on the redefinition of the theatrical art, like the primacy of speech, of the performative act, and the revision of the theatrical communication between the artwork and the spectator-reader. New definitions of the subject and of the theater reveal themselves at the crossroads of three aesthetical concepts that are fundamental for the avant-garde : metatheatricality understood as an ontological metalepsis, simultaneity, and finally Primitivism
