    Par l'analyse critique des procédures d'établissement des éditions, et de circulation des commentaires, cette étude montre comment au fil du temps, à partir de quatre pages manuscrites dont la transcription, pourtant, oblige à des interventions qui réduisent à peu sa prétendue authenticité, une tradition a pu mettre en place et perpétuer ce que l'on désigne aujourd'hui le plus ordinairement du nom vague de "Pari de Pascal". La grande diversité des délimitations, dénominations, leçons, interprétations, que l'on ne peut en aucune manière considérer comme une progressive venue au jour de la véritable forme d'un texte, engage à contester l'économie de la textualité, à faire voir comment la série des éditions et des commentaires produit, dans un mouvement de répétitions, ce qu'elle représente comme sa propre origine, et institue ains ce qu'elle désigne comme un texte et un auteur This study shows how four manuscript pages happened to become through the ages what is nowadays most usually known as the "Pari de Pascal" ("Pascal's wager"), one of the famous pieces of the so called "Pensées de Pascal". A critical analysis of publication editing procedures and commentary circulation demonstrates that they were established and perpetuated as a text by a tradition through many operations of transcription which greatly reduce their supposed authenticity. As we explore the wide range of delimitations, denominations, philological lectures, and interpretations, which these pages underwent and which can in no way be considered as a progressive bringing to light of the text true form, we are led to contest the economy of textuality, and to show how the series of publications and commentaries produces, in a process of repetitions, the very object that it depicts as its own origin, and how this series constructs and institutes what it represents as a text and an author

La 4e de couverture indique : "Acta apostolorum et conte fantastique, récit post-résurrectionnel et parabole de la quête du Royaume, hymne à la résistance face aux persécutions mais aussi mythe fondateur de la mission chrétienne, ouvrage de propagande tout autant que précis d'évasion, le premier écrit du codex VI de Nag Hammadi se prête à de multiples lectures. Cette polysémie découle d'un processus rédactionnel complexe, dont le texte conserve de nombreuses traces, qui se cristallise en quatre discours distincts dissimulés dans autant de récits aussi bien autonomes qu'interdépendants: une théologie plurivoque, en même temps extatique et symbolique, véhiculée par l'histoire hybride de Lithargoël, à la fois allégorie du salut de l'âme et psychanodie, un enseignement euthymique transmis par le Jésus ressuscité d'une scène épiphanique, une théologie diaconale et une théorie novatrice de la mission chrétienne, corollaires d'un récit missionnaire, et enfin une théologie ascétique et une apologie de la perpétuation de l'Église, renfermées dans une ample métaphore de l'endurance. Si la dernière étape de sa composition peut être attribuée à un cercle mélétien du tout début du IVe siècle, cet apocryphe semble circuler, non seulement en Égypte mais aussi à Rome, en Nubie et en Palestine, au moins jusqu'au XIIe siècle."

    La représentation et l'écriture de la judéité dans la fiction du XIXe siècle en France et en Grande-Bretagne rendent compte de l'imagologie du Juif à travers des textes connus et ouvrent des voies de recherches complémentaires susceptibles d'attirer l'attention sur des romans aujourd'hui oubliés. Les œuvres du corpus révèlent l'intérêt des auteurs, antisémites ou non, envers une représentation de la judéité dont ils veulent témoigner. Les ouvrages ont parfois une valeur documentaire lorsque l'histoire s'inspire de la réalité et de la presse contemporaine, mais tous les romans gardent avant tout le statut de la fiction qui permet au lecteur, qu'il soit Juif ou non, de se reconnaître dans des personnages aussi divers que possible et qui symbolisent justement la diversité de l'humanité. Les écrivains ont utilisé des procédés littéraires afin de dénoncer ou d'approuver la supériorité d'un culte ou d'une communauté. Certains ont renforcé l'image dépréciative et stéréotypée de l'Israélite, d'autre ont maintenu un fil conducteur reliant le passé, c'est-à-dire la tradition, à la modernité, l'objectif étant d'agir sur la réalité de leur époque et de défendre et garder la mémoire des peuples. La représentation de la femme en général et de la Juive en particulier, son émancipation ou son asservissement, montre bien la différence paradoxale entre l'image dépréciative de l'Israélite et le portrait de la Juive toujours belle. L'écriture de la judéité insiste également sur la préservation de l'identité juive, sur le rôle que jouent les communautés ashkénazes et sépharades et sur le langage utilisé par les personnages (langue vernaculaire, hébreu, yiddish...) This representation and the writing of Jewishness in XIXth century fiction in France and in great Britain display the imagology of the Jew through known texts and pave the way for additional research susceptible to draw attention, to novels forgotten today. The works of the corpus reveal the interest shared by various authors, wether anti-semitic or not, in a representation of Jewishness to which they want to testify. The works sometimes bear a documentary value when the story is inspired by reality and by the contemporary press, but all of the novels keep the status of fiction whic allows the reader, wether Jewish or not, to recognize himsel in characters as diverse as possible and which symbolize exactly the variety of mankind. The writers used literary devices to denounce or condone the superiority of a religion or a community. Some authors strengthened the depreciative and stereotypical image of the Israelite when others writers maintained a thread connecting the past, steeped in tradition, with modernity, the objective being to act on the reality of their time and to defend and to keep the memory of peoples. The representation of woman in general and the Jewess in particular, her emancipation, or subjection, highlights the paradoxical difference between the depreciative image of the Jewish identity, on the role played by the Ashkenazi and Sephardic communities and on the language used by the characters (vernacular language, Hebrew, Yiddish...)
