    Klappentext: The essays presented in this book explore ethnic-emigrant literature produced in the United States of America, Canada, and Australia, providing new perspectives on the major points in the current critical debate about ethnic diversity. They should prove useful to all those who are interested, professionally or otherwise, in the literary experience of emigrants in these countries. Several of the essays try to determine the common literary-theoretical positions of multi-ethnicity and multi-culturality, as well as the axiological criteria in the critical evaluation of emigrant literature. The stress is on the Slovene literary experience in a wider socio-cultural sense. Other essays deal with the emigrant experience as reflected in the literature of several other European nations which were at some point of their history also 'emitive' for the traditional lands of immigration. Thus a broad comparative international forum of discussion is ensured.
