Die Zukunft der Universität Das Buch dokumentiert nicht nur das Symposium "Radikale Universität", das die gesellschaftsbildende Kraft der Universität, die Interdisziplinarität und den Dialog zwischen Kunst und Wissenschaft im Spannungsfeld sozialer Relevanz und Verantwortung beleuchtete. Furthermore, it pays tribute to the work of Rector Gerald Bast at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. By establishing several new programs of interdisciplinary study, particularly pertaining to the convergence of art and science, and by taking a clear sociopolitical stance, he laid down important markers for the university. This publication explores three core themes: art and science; the development of a campus university; and educational reform.
