    O objetivo deste artigo é analisar o último romance de Christian Kracht, "Die Toten" ("Os Mortos", 2016), a partir da ótica da encenação textual e autoral, ou seja, examinando o texto em suas configurações linguísticas e relações intertextuais; e o autor em sua presença midiática - através da qual se encena de modo ambíguo e estabelece relações entre sua figura autoral e o personagem principal de sua obra. O conceito de campo literário de Bourdieu (1996) e de paratexto de Genette (1989) oferecem subsídios teóricos para a abordagem feita. Percebe-se que Kracht, em "Die Toten", utiliza várias estratégias para refletir sobre a própria obra. The objective of this article is to analyze Christian Kracht's latest novel, "Die Toten" ("The Dead", 2016), from the perspective of textual and authorial staging, that is, examining the text in its linguistic configurations and intertextual relations; and the author in his mediatic presence - which he uses to stage himself in an ambiguous way and to establish relations between his authorial figure and the main character of his novel. The concepts of literary field (BOURDIEU, 1996) and that of paratext (GENETTE, 1989) offer a theoretical framework for this approach. It becomes apparent that Kracht, in "Die Toten", applies different strategies to reflect about his own work.

    O objetivo deste estudo é analisar os usos da palavra 'mal' na língua alemã, comparando-os com possíveis traduções para a língua portuguesa. A partir dos dados levantados e analisados, busca-se descrever o uso da variante 'uma vez' no português em Itapiranga e São João do Oeste, localidades situadas no oeste de Santa Catarina, Brasil, com forte presença de falantes do alemão Hunsrückisch como língua de imigração. Para a realização do estudo, seguiu-se a metodologia proposta pela dialetologia pluridimensional e relacional, conforme Thun (1998). No presente estudo, realizaram-se entrevistas com 16 falantes bilíngues Hunsrückisch/português das duas localidades. This work presents a study aimed to describe the uses of the word 'mal' in German, comparing it with possible translations to Portuguese. Based on interviews, we describe the use of the variant 'uma vez' in Portuguese spoken in Itapiranga and São João do Oeste, Santa Catarina, Brazil, with many speakers of Hunsrückisch as a language of immigration. We follow the methodology proposed by pluridimensional and relational dialectology, according to Thun (1998). In this study, interviews were conducted with 16 German/Portuguese bilingual speakers from the two localities.

    O trabalho retoma a análise freudiana de "Der Sandmann", presente num ensaio de 1919 que se provou paradigmático para as interpretações futuras da obra de E. T. A. Hoffmann. No dito ensaio, o pai da psicanálise faz diversos juízos sobre a construção argumentativa da novela romântica que, nos estudos literários, vêm sendo indevidamente atribuídos ao próprio Hoffmann. Seu programa estético supostamente seria aquele de um analista dos mecanismos psíquicos de suas personagens, revelando-o como um curioso conhecedor avant la lettre das teorias psicanalíticas. É como se a criação de um imaginário horripilante que caracteriza sua prosa servisse a um impulso interpretativo das áreas ocultas da psique a fim de detrair tendências irracionalistas e animistas de suas personagens. A crítica freudiana ao animismo é um dos aspectos mais contestados por estudiosos recentes como Bruno Latour e Isabelle Stengers e, por isso, retomaremos seus argumentos num segundo momento. Então, alguns de seus argumentos serão retomados em um segundo momento do artigo para que possamos voltar a Hoffmann e reinterpretar sua estética como uma defesa de certo tipo de animismo, para além dos paradigmas psicanalíticos que nunca cessaram de o ensombrar. This paper takes up Freud's analysis of "Der Sandmann" (1816), embodied in a 1919 article which proved itself paradigmatic to interpretations of E. T. A. Hoffmann's work. In this article, the father of psychoanalysis renders several judgments about the argumentative structure of the romantic novella which, in Literary Studies, have been improperly attributed to Hoffmann himself. His aesthetical program would namely be one of an analyst of psychical mechanisms of his characters, thus revealing the author as an odd pundit of psychoanalytic theories much before their inception. It is as if the setup of the horrifying fantasy which characterizes his prose should come along an interpretative urge of the hidden areas of the psyche, so as to discredit irrational and animist tendencies in his characters. Freud's critique of animism is one of the most contested by recent scholar such as Bruno Latour and Isabelle Stengers. Hence, some of their arguments will be recovered at a second moment of this article in order that we go back to Hoffmann and reinterpret his aesthetics as a defense of a certain type of animism, beyond the psychoanalytic paradigm that never ceased to overshadow it.
