We are pleased to announce a Call for Book Chapters  for an edited volume: Zum Andenken an den 100. Geburtstag von Ernst Jandl. We invite scholars to contribute articles that explore various aspects of this significant topic.

In 2025, we mark one hundred years since the birth of Ernst Jandl, one of the most influential voices in 20th-century experimental literature. In recognition of his profound impact on poetry, language, and performance, we invite publishers, editors, writers, and scholars to contribute to a commemorative literary series dedicated to exploring and celebrating Jandl’s legacy.

We are seeking original works and new editions in the following categories:

Critical studies on Jandl’s poetry, sound poetry, performance art, or linguistic experimentation

Creative responses, homages, or reinterpretations of Jandl’s work in contemporary poetic or visual form

Anthologies that situate Jandl in dialogue with his contemporaries or modern-day successors

Reissues or translations of Jandl’s key works with new introductions or scholarly apparatus

This initiative aims not only to honor Jandl’s contributions but to revitalize discourse around avant-garde poetics and the boundaries of literary form. We encourage submissions that examine literary works, authors, cultural influences, historical contexts, or contemporary developments.
