    Whereas it is resolved by the General Assembly ... that an embargo be laid upon the exportation out of this colony by water, the following articles of provision, viz. wheat, rye, Indian corn, pork, beef, live cattle, peas, beans, butter, cheese, bread, flour, and every kind of meal (except necessary stores for vessels bound to sea ; ) and that such embargo continue and remain until the first day of June next ...
