    Abstract ; In Europa wurde das politische Denken seit dem Beginn des 19. maßgeblich durch die Idee der "Revolution" bestimmt. Die Totalitarismen – Faschismus und Stalinismus – haben Albert Camus' grundsätzliche Kritik der Revolutionsidee provoziert: Wie die Geschichte selbst unterdrücken die erfolgreichen Revolutionen die Freiheit des Einzelnen und seinen Drang nach Gerechtigkeit, die allein in der "Revolte", in der "reinen Flamme" seines Lebensgefühls zum Ausdruck kommen; "Revolte" ist Ausdruck des Selbsterhaltungswillens. Verschiedene Aspekte dieser "absurden" Konfrontation des Individuums mit 'der' Geschichte, der "Natur" oder 'den' Institutionen werden anhand der folgenden Werke des französischen Schriftstellers beschrieben: "L'Homme révolté", "La Peste", "L'Etranger", "La Chute".

    Abstract: Der Artikel ist frei verfügbar; anstelle eines Abstract wird hier zunächst der Anfang wiedergegeben:

    Die Entwicklung des jungen Bert Brecht als Dramatiker wirft methodisch zwei Fragen auf, deren richtige Beantwortung die Voraussetzung dafür ist, daß es gelingt, Brechts Weg vom anarchisch-vitalistischen Dichter des "Baal" zum marxistischen Stückeschreiber der "Heiligen Johanna der Schlachthöfe" angemessen darzustellen: 1) Mit welchem Denkmodell soll man den Gegenstand ‚Entwicklung eines Dichters‘ begreifen? 2) Wie ist das Endergebnis des Entwicklungsganges – in diesem Fall die Einheit von Marxist und Poet – zu beurteilen? Es ist evident, daß die zweite Frage unmittelbar vom Standort des Interpreten abhängt: ein bürgerlicher Literaturhistoriker wird das Verhältnis von dichterischer Potenz und Marxismus bei Brecht anders bestimmen als ein Marxist. Doch auch die erste Frage nach dem angemessenen Denkmodell für Brechts Entwicklung ist positionsgebunden. Ein grob schematischer Überblick über die drei wichtigsten Versuche, Brechts Entwicklung zu beschreiben, mag das belegen
