    "This is a book-length commentary on Walter Benjamin's 1923 essay "Die Aufgabe des Übersetzers," best known in English under the title "The Task of the Translator." Benjamin's essay is at once an immensely attractive work for top-flight theorists of translation and comparative literature and a frustratingly cryptic work that cries out for commentary. Almost every one of the claims he makes in it seems wildly counterintuitive, because he articulates none of the background support that would help readers place it in larger literary-historical contexts: Jewish mystical traditions from Philo Judaeus's Logos-based Neoplatonism to 13th-century Lurianic Kabbalah; Romantic and post-Romantic esotericisms from Novalis and the Schlegels to Hölderlin and Goethe; modernist avant-garde foreclosures on "the public" and generally the communicative contexts of literature. The book is divided into 78 passages, one to a few sentences in length. Each of the passages becomes its own commentarial unit, consisting of a Benjaminian interlinear box, a paraphrase, a commentary, and a list of other commentators who have engaged the specific passage in question. Because the passages cover the entire text of the essay in sequence, reading straight through the book provides the reader with an augmented experience of reading the essay. Robinson's commentary is key reading for scholars and postgraduate students of translation, comparative literature, and critical theory"--

    Junge queere Menschen erleben nach wie vor erhebliche Diskriminierungen und sind mit besonderen Herausforderungen konfrontiert. Fachkräfte im Arbeitsfeld des Übergangssystems zwischen Schule und Ausbildung bzw. Erwerbsarbeit sind gefordert, diverse Lebenslagen wahrzunehmen und in ihrem gesellschaftlichen Kontext zu reflektieren, um angemessene Unterstützung leisten zu können. Die Beiträger*innen bündeln Erkenntnisse aus aktuellen Studien zu Erfahrungen von Fachkräften und jungen queeren Menschen im Übergangssystem und in angrenzenden Bereichen. Dies wird verbunden mit Einführungen in institutionelle Logiken des Feldes und theoretische Zugänge sowie Impulsen für eine emanzipatorische Praxis. Junge lesbische, schwule, bisexuelle, trans und queere Personen werden nach wie vor erheblich diskriminiert und benachteiligt und sind mit besonderen Herausforderungen im Prozess des Erwachsenenwerdens konfrontiert. Fachkräfte in sozialen und pädagogischen Arbeitsfeldern sind aufgefordert, diese spezifischen Lebenslagen wahrzunehmen und angemessene Unterstützung zu leisten. Die Beiträger*innen bündeln Erkenntnisse aus aktuellen Studien zu Erfahrungen junger queerer Menschen sowie Fachkräften im Übergangssystem der Jugendberufshilfe und in den angrenzenden Bereichen von Ausbildung und Jugendarbeit. Dies verbinden sie mit Einführungen in aktuelle geschlechter- und queertheoretische Zugänge.

    Ab den 1980er-Jahren sind im deutschen Sprachraum vermehrt Rewritings historischer Reisen erschienen. Die Texte operieren auf mehreren Zeitebenen, indem sie Archivmaterial in Form von Expeditionsberichten, Briefen, Tagebüchern oder Fotografien einbinden. In den literarischen Nachreisen lassen sich Momente der Welthaltigkeit und der Authentizität finden, die im Widerstreit zu poetologischen und metafiktionalen Tendenzen stehen.Die Studie bietet nicht nur eine Analyse ausgewählter literarischer Werke zum «Er-Fahren» der Fremde, sondern setzt die literarisierten Forschungs- und Entdeckungsreisen auch zueinander in Beziehung. Die Autorin verfolgt einen text- und medienanalytischen Ansatz, da das Ausstellen von Vermittlungsprozessen für diese Texte hochgradig charakteristisch ist – ein ­Aspekt, der in der Forschung bisher nicht diskutiert wurde. Die Verschränkung von Archivalischem und Fingiertem verleiht den Texten einen komplexen medialen Status. Medialität kann als Raum oder Bedingung dieser Verschränkung gefasst werden.
