    Abstract ; L'image de Voltaire dans la critique allemande a été déterminée par le jugement que les critiques ont porté sur la Révolution française. Pour les critiques contre-révolutionnaires, les philosophes du 18e siècle avaient provoqué, par leurs attaques contre les fondements de l'Ancien Régime, les événements funestes de la décennie de 1789 à 1799. Cette condamnation des conservateurs a, d'une certaine manière, perpétué le mépris profond ques les écrivains allemands du Sturm und Drang avaient déjà exprimé à l'égard de la culture aristocratique de la France de leur époque. Dans le jugement que Goethe a exprimé au début du 19e siècle, on reconnaît d'une part la désapprobation des auteurs du Sturm und Drang, mais d'autre part aussi une tendance à revaloriser la tradition de l'esthétique classiciste. Pour une grande partie de la critique allemande du 19e siècle, Schiller a tracé l'image définitive de Voltaire. Au 19e siècle on en arrive à oublier le poète, le dramaturge en faveur du prosateur, du philosophe qui a conçu les idées fondamentales du libéralisme. Défendre Voltaire veut dire défendre en même temps les idées de la tolérance religieuse, de la liberté de la conscience et de la propriété individuelle.

    Abstract ; Die literarische Darstellung der Selbstverwirklichung oder des Versagens eines literarischen Helden wird seit dem Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts mit der Empörung gegen die Gesellschaft verbunden. Der Erfahrungshorizont dieser Helden ist aber eingeschränkt, weil der wissenschaftliche und sozialgeschichtliche Fortschritt ihrem Erkenntnisinteresse entrückt und vorwiegend negativ beurteilt wird. Die kritische Gestaltung des Subjektivismus ist ein bedeutsames Merkmal der französischen Literatur des 20. Jahrhunderts. Aus dieser Perspektive werden die folgenden Werke erläutert: P. Valéry, "Monsieur Teste", A. Gide, "Les Nourritures terrestres", G. Navel, "Travaux", A. Jarry, "Ubu Roi", A. Camus, "Caligula", S. Beckett, "Comédie".

    Abstract: Apart from classical ways of using narrative analysis in everyday communication as well as in linguistics and sociology (eh. 3) it is conceivable to detect the narrator's interest constellations (eh. 4) and a central stock of his general action capacities and specific institutional skills (eh. 2,5) by way of his retrospective interpretation in verbal off-hand narratives of his own past eonduct. His willingness to tell about personal experiences gets hirn into constraints to become more specific on the one hand, for if events are being told their respeetive consequences as new events have to be revealed etc. This constraint to become more specific brings up the narrator's former and partly (at the time of the narrative) still existent actual interest constellations, because those are motivating, constituting elements of the events to be told about.
