    Blockchain technology, which became known for the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, enables the digital representation of ownership without trusted parties and sets the foundation for new kinds of collaboration in business networks. Current research still focuses primarily on the technical aspects of blockchain technology but does not derive its business implications in a structured and academic manner. In the meantime, new technologies that are similar but not identical to blockchain are appearing that satisfy a variety of business needs. In business and academia, ways to classify these various technologies, all of which can be subsumed under the term distributed ledger technology (DLT), are missing. Therefore, this dissertation structures DLT and DLT-like technologies and analyzes their business impact. First, using an extensive literature research and taxonomy development-methods, the author derives a taxonomy that classifies the various types of DLTs that follow various business purposes. Second, using capability theory, the author derives new value propositions that emerge through the technology. Third, using transaction cost theory, the author identifies which processes can be optimized and consolidated using DLT. Finally, the author derives propositions that can help organizations to reduce costs in DLT implementations. The author applies and evaluates the research outputs with case studies and focus groups to ensure the practical applicability of the academically derived insights. Die Blockchain-Technologie, die durch die Kryptowährung Bitcoin bekannt wurde, ermöglicht die digitale Darstellung von Eigentum ohne institutionelle Intermediäre und schafft die Grundlage für neue Wege der Zusammenarbeit in Unternehmensnetzwerken. Während sich die Forschung hauptsächlich auf die technischen Aspekte der Technologie konzentriert, sind ihre wirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen größtenteils unerforscht. Darüber hinaus entstehen neue Technologien, die ähnliche Fähigkeiten wie die Blockchain-Technologie besitzen. Sowohl in der Wirtschaft als auch in der Wissenschaft fehlt eine Klassifizierung der verschiedenen Technologien, die alle unter dem Begriff Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) zusammengefasst werden können. Daher wurde zunächst eine Taxonomie abgeleitet, welche verschiedene Arten von DLTs klassifiziert. Auf Basis der Capability-Theorie wurde abgeleitet, welche bestehenden Wertversprechen von der Technologie betroffen sind und welche neuen Wertversprechen durch den Einsatz der Technologie ermöglicht werden. Nebst der strategischen Sicht wurden auf Basis der Transaktionskostentheorie Prozesse identifiziert, die durch DLT optimiert werden können. Schließlich wurden Vorschläge abgeleitet, die Unternehmen helfen, zu beurteilen, wie DLT im Unternehmen implementiert werden muss, um Kosten bei der Implementierung einsparen zu können. Die Forschungsergebnisse wurden mit Fallstudien und Fokusgruppen evaluiert, um die praktische Anwendbarkeit der wissenschaftlich gewonnenen Erkenntnisse zu gewährleisten.

    Die Anforderungen der EU-Taxonomie und die Vorgaben zur Berichterstattung gemäß der European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) werden in vielen großen Unternehmen dazu führen, dass sie sich mit ihren physischen Klimarisiken befassen und diese systematisch managen. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Studie wurden fachliche Hintergründe, Rahmenwerke, Regulierungen sowie Praxisansätze für das Management physischer Klimarisiken in Unternehmen analysiert. Aus den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen wurde ein modellhaftes Management physischer Klimarisiken abgeleitet. Darüber hinaus haben die Untersuchungen gezeigt, dass der Aufwand zur Ermittlung und Ableitung von Informationen über lokalen Klimagefahren hoch ist. Dies ist ein wesentliches Hemmnis, um in einem Unternehmen die Klimarisiken zu bestimmen. Um Synergien bei Klimarisikoanalysen in der Wirtschaft zu erschließen, kommen verschiedene Ansätze in Betracht. Beispielsweise könnten Klimarisikoanalysen für Industriegebiete oder für Ballungsräume initiiert werden. Die im Rahmen der EU-Taxonomie definierten Anforderungen an eine Klimarisikoanalyse sollten u.a. anhand der Umsetzungspraxis evaluiert und optimiert werden, um die regulatorischen Anforderungen zu verbessern. The requirements of the EU Taxonomy and in the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) will make many large companies address and systematically manage their physical climate risks. This study contains an analysis of technical backgrounds, frameworks and regulations, as well as practical approaches for managing physical climate risks in companies. The insights gained were used to derive a model for the management of physical climate risks in companies. In addition, the research has shown that the effort required to identify and derive information on local climate hazards is high. This is a major barrier to determining climate risks of a company. In order to develop synergies regarding climate risk assessments in business, different approaches can be considered. For example, climate risk assessments could be initiated for industrial parks or for metropolitan agglomerations. The requirements for climate risk assessment defined in the EU taxonomy should be evaluated and optimized. To do so an analysis of the current implementation practices, would be helpful.

    This paper analyzes the current implementation status of sustainability and taxonomy-aligned disclosure under the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), which aims to improve the classification of sustainability credentials of financial products and thereby prevent greenwashing. Moreover, it considers the development of the SFDR categorization of funds offered via banks in Germany between September 2022 and March 2023. Examining data provided by WM Gruppe, which consists of more than 10,000 investment funds and 2,000 index funds, we have observed a significant proportion of Article 9 (dark green) funds transitioning to the group of Article 8 (light green) funds, particularly among index funds. As a result of this process, the profile of the SFDR classes has sharpened, which is reflected in an increased share of sustainable investments in the group of Article 9 funds. When differentiating between environmental and social investments, the share of environmental investments has increased, but the share of social investments has decreased in the group of Article 9 funds at the beginning of 2023. The share of taxonomy-aligned investments is very low, but increases slightly for Article 9 funds. However, as of March 2023, only about 1,000 funds have reported their sustainability proportions, and this picture may change due to regulatory changes that will require all funds within the scope of the SFDR to report these proportions in their annual reports being published after 1 January 2023.

    Die physischen Auswirkungen des Klimawandels werden sich auf die Finanzwirtschaft übertragen. Dies kann sowohl direkt auf die Geschäftsaktivitäten von Finanzdienstleistern als auch indirekt auf die Aktivitäten in der Realwirtschaft mit Rückwirkung auf die Finanzwirtschaft geschehen. Die Auswirkungen könnten massive finanzielle Folge haben und sich auf die Stabilität des Finanzsystems auswirken. In diesem Bericht werden neben den Übertragungswegen physischer Klimarisiken in die Finanzwirtschaft auch der Umgang mit diesen Risiken seitens verschiedener Akteure analysiert. Vor dem Hintergrund der regulatorischen Entwicklungen in der EU werden Empfehlungen zur besseren Umsetzung gegeben.

    Abstract: Scientific cooperations between the museums of natural history in Berlin and in Budapest are described. Already in 19th century, for instance, the specialists of zoological Taxonomy Edmund Reitter (coleopterologist), Geza von Horváth (helminthologist) and Ludwig von Mehély (herpetologist) intensively communicated with the Berlin Zoologists Julius Weise, Karl August Möbius and Anton Collin. After World War II the mueums have been continued using the special collections to their mutual benefit, and when in 1956 the Hungarian collections were disturbed by Soviet military actions, Hungarian zoologists asked for assistance with exchanging specialists and well destined items of their collections. This way in 1963 there have been officially arranged both yearly visits to the museums in Berlin and Budapest and cooperations not only on taxonomy but also on general museological research like problems of modern exhibitions and their evaluating. In 1973, the Berlin museum also participated in the Dictionarium museologicum (1986) initiated by the Hungarian museologist István Eri.
