Kann interkulturelles Lernen Erfahrungen des Scheiterns integrieren?Zur Reflexion der Praxis greift Sabine Aydts transdisziplinärer Essay eine Reihe von Denkmodellen auf - vom Schiffbruch über die Tragödie zum Eindringling. Die Auseinandersetzung mit Krisen im Kontext von Fremdheit eröffnet so den Blick auf unerwartete Wege zu einem anderen, spielerischen Ansatz kulturellen Lernens durch Erfahrung im »Übergangsraum« (D.W. Winnicott) Intercultural education promises to make living and working together under the conditions of strangeness and migration easier. Nevertheless, there are unresolvable conflicts - and more cultural knowledge often leads to greater disorientation. Is this educational approach about to fail? Can intercultural learning integrate experiences of failure? To reflect on practice, Sabine Aydt's transdisciplinary essay employs several hypothetical concepts - from shipwrecks to tragedies and intruders. She points out ways of dealing with crises and loss of autonomy in the context of strangeness and thus opens our view to unexpected transitions to another, playful approach to cultural learning

Die thematisierten Projekte aus Literatur und Film sind alle – aus unterschiedlichen Gründen und auf verschiedene Weise – gescheitert: Aus Ideen wurden keine Texte, Textversuche blieben Fragmente, Entwürfe wurden vergessen, vernichtet oder gingen verloren. Vielleicht hätten diese Anläufe zu kanonischen Romanen oder Filmklassikern werden können. Bisher fand die Auseinandersetzung mit solchen Fällen des Scheiterns vorwiegend im Rahmen textkritischer Werkaufarbeitungen, in biographischen Einzelstudien oder in essayistischen Beiträgen statt. Der Sammelband will sie nun nebeneinanderstellen und auf wissenschaftlicher Ebene diskutieren.

    To explore determinants of new venture performance, the CEOs of 470 early-stage startups were surveyed regarding a broad range of factors related to their venture’s customer value proposition, product management, marketing, technology and operations, financial management, funding choices, team management, and founder attributes. Multivariate regression analysis shows that startups that employed lean startup management practices—in particular, an optimal rate of pivoting—had stronger seed equity valuation growth, as did new ventures that struck the right balance in recruiting for skill versus attitude and that professionalized human resource policies earlier. High levels of confidence in financial metrics—including estimates of unit economics, the ratio of customer lifetime value to customer acquisition cost, and total addressable market size—were also associated with strong growth in seed equity value.Valuation outcomes were not related to several founder/CEO attributes, including age, educational background, personality traits, and motivations for becoming an entrepreneur. Likewise, choosing angels versus venture capital firms as lead seed round investors did not predict subsequent growth in equity valuation, nor did decisions about partnerships to provide technology, operational capacity, or marketing support

Kann interkulturelles Lernen Erfahrungen des Scheiterns integrieren?Zur Reflexion der Praxis greift Sabine Aydts transdisziplinärer Essay eine Reihe von Denkmodellen auf - vom Schiffbruch über die Tragödie zum Eindringling. Die Auseinandersetzung mit Krisen im Kontext von Fremdheit eröffnet so den Blick auf unerwartete Wege zu einem anderen, spielerischen Ansatz kulturellen Lernens durch Erfahrung im »Übergangsraum« (D.W. Winnicott) Intercultural education promises to make living and working together under the conditions of strangeness and migration easier. Nevertheless, there are unresolvable conflicts - and more cultural knowledge often leads to greater disorientation. Is this educational approach about to fail? Can intercultural learning integrate experiences of failure? To reflect on practice, Sabine Aydt's transdisciplinary essay employs several hypothetical concepts - from shipwrecks to tragedies and intruders. She points out ways of dealing with crises and loss of autonomy in the context of strangeness and thus opens our view to unexpected transitions to another, playful approach to cultural learning
