    ger: Blustspendeorganisationen sind darauf angewiesen, dass freiwillige SpenderInnen Blut spenden, um den Bedarf zu decken. Wenn die Lagerbestände an Blutkonserven knapp werden, besteht das Risiko, dass PatientInnen nicht entsprechend behandelt werden können. Aus diesem Grund ist es für diese Organisationen wichtig zu verstehen, welche Faktoren auf die Blutspendeabsicht der SpenderInnen wirken, um geeignete Marketingstrategien für die Spenderkommunikation und -bindung zu entwickeln. Vor diesem Hintergrund beschäftigt sich die vorliegende Arbeit mit der Analyse der Faktoren, die die Blutspendeabsicht beeinflussen. Dazu wurde das Egoismus- und Altruismus- Konzept sowie die Theorie des geplanten Verhaltens als Erklärungsansätze herangezogen. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es herauszufinden, welche der untersuchten Faktoren am stärksten die Blutspendeabsicht von Menschen beeinflussen, wobei zwischen Nicht-, Einmal- und Mehrfachspendern unterschieden wird. Um dies zu untersuchen, wurden insgesamt 197 ProbandInnen mittels eines standardisierten Fragebogens befragt. Die Ergebnisse der empirischen Studie zeigen, dass Benevolenz und Verwandtschaft einen Einfluss auf die Absicht von Mehrfachspendern Blut zu spenden aufweisen. Dies deutet darauf hin, dass für die BlutspenderInnen nicht nur altruistische Motive ausschlaggebend sind, sondern zugleich persönliche Belohnungen einen Einfluss haben. Ebenso stellte sich heraus, dass die Einstellung von Nicht- und Mehrfachspendern, die subjektive Norm von Nichtspendern und die erwartete negative affektive Reaktion von Nicht-, Einmal- und Mehrfachspendern einen signifikanten Einfluss auf die Absicht Blut zu spenden aufweisen. Die erwartete negative affektive Reaktion hatte den stärksten Einfluss auf die Absicht Blut zu spenden. eng: Blood donor organizations are dependent on volunteer blood donors to meet their needs. If the stock levels of banked blood become scare, there is a risk that patients cannot be treated accordingly. For this reason, it is important for these organizations to understand the factors that influence the intention to donate blood by donors in order to develop appropriate marketing strategies for donor communication and retention. Given this background, this thesis deals with the analysis of factors that influence the blood donation. For this purpose, the egoism and altruism concept as well as the theory of planned behavior were used as explanatory approaches. The aim of this study is to find out which of the examined factors most strongly influences the intention to donate blood in humans, whereby a distinction is made between people who have never donated blood, one-time donors and people who have donated blood several times. In order to examine this, a total of 197 subjects were questioned using a standardized questionnaire. The results of the empirical study show that benevolence and kinship have an influence on the intention to donate in multiple-donors. This suggests that for regular blood donors not only altruistic motives are decisive, but also that personal rewards have an influence. It was also discovered that for non- and multiple-donors the attitude, for non-donors the subjective norm and for non-, single- and multiple-donors the anticipated regret have a significant influence on the intention to donate blood. Overall, anticipated regret had the strongest impact on the intention to donate blood.

Hematologies traces how the substance congeals political ideologies, biomedical rationalities, and activist practices.Using examples from anti-colonial appeals to blood sacrifice as a political philosophy to contemporary portraits of political leaders drawn with blood, from the use of the substance by Bhopali children as a material of activism to biomedical anxieties and aporias about the excess and lack of donation, Hematologies broaches how political life in India has been shaped through the use of blood and through contestations about blood. As such, the authors offer new entryways into thinking about politics and economy through a "bloodscape of difference": different sovereignties; different proportionalities; and different temporalities. These entryways allow the authors to explore the relation between blood's utopic flows and political clottings as it moves through time and space, conjuring new kinds of social collectivities while reanimating older forms, and always in a reflexive relation to norms that guide its proper flow

    Blutpräparate sind ein integraler Bestandteil der modernen Medizin. Da sich die künstliche Herstellung von Blut als äußerst schwierig erwiesen hat, bedarf es freiwilliger Blutspender, um die Bevölkerung mit diesen Blutpräparaten zu versorgen. Diese Arbeit ist der Frage nachgegangen, wer sich zu einer Erstspende bereit erklärt, welche Motive hierbei maßgeblich sind und unter welchen Bedingungen eine längerfristige Spenderkarriere entsteht, bei der das Spenden von Blut zur lebensrettenden Gewohnheit wird. Wie die Auswertungen von Prozessdaten und einer Spenderbefragung zeigen, stammen Blutspender nicht gleichermaßen aus allen Bevölkerungsgruppen, sondern weisen ein bestimmtes soziales Profil auf. Um den wachsenden Blutbedarf auch zukünftig und trotz der demografischen Veränderungen decken zu können, erscheint eine verstärkte Rekrutierung vor allem von älteren Erstspendern ratsam, da deren Bevölkerungsanteil steigt und sich die Rückkehrbereitschaft dieser Spender als außerordentlich hoch erwiesen hat

    Die vorliegende kurze Studie zur Blutspende als Gemeinwohlbeitrag ist Teil einer größeren fallrekonstruktiven Untersuchung zur alltäglichen Solidaritätsbereitschaft. Der Schwerpunkt dieser Untersuchung lag auf der Rekonstruktion von biographischen Interviews, die nach dem Kriterium maximaler Kontrastivität ausgewählt wurden. Ziel dieses Vorgehens war es, sich von den in ihrer biographischen Totalität betrachteten Fällen in größtmöglicher Unvoreingenommenheit die existierenden Formen von Solidarität und Gemeinwohlbindung aufzeigen zu lassen. Bei der vorliegenden Studie haben wir zur Ergänzung dieses Vorgehens eine andere Verfahrensweise gewählt. Wir haben uns von vornherein eine bestimmte alltägliche solidarische Praxis ausgesucht und im Jahr 2002 bei einem städtischen Blutspendetermin im Ruhrgebiet Blutspender in kurzen Interviews selektiv nach ihren Beweggründen zur Blutspende gefragt. Daß diese Studie separat und nicht als Teil der Gesamtuntersuchung erscheint, hat zwei Gründe. Zum einen handelt es sich bloß um eine Ergänzungsstudie, die sich in Anlage, Durchführung und Ausarbeitung auch auf ein abkürzendes Verfahren beschränken mußte.     Einführung -- Rahmenbedingungen des Blutspendewesens -- Motive des Blutspendens auf der Grundlage einer qualitativ-tiefenpsychologischen Untersuchung -- Gestaltungsoptionen für das Marketing von Nonprofit-Organisationen im Blutspendewesen Die Europäische Union hat ihre Mitgliedsstaaten verpflichtet, die Selbstversorgung mit Blutprodukten sicherzustellen. Mangelnde Spendebereitschaft in den Sommermonaten und beschränkte Haltbarkeit von Blut führen in Deutschland immer wieder zu Engpässen. Gernot Schiefer zeigt, dass die relevanten Motive der Blutspende zu einem großen Teil im Unbewussten zu suchen sind und dass man es bei der Blutspende nur vordergründig mit rationalen Handlungszusammenhängen zu tun hat. Die Blutspende kann eine intensive Auseinandersetzung mit dem eigenen Leben anstoßen und wird von Spendern wie Nicht-Spendern als Bedrohung des eigenen Selbst erlebt. Mehrfachspender müssen daher einiges an seelischem Aufwand betreiben, um die mit der Blutspende verbundenen starken Ängste zu kompensieren. Andererseits ermöglicht die Blutspende grandiose und heroische Phantasien, die sich in keiner anderen Alltagssituation so intensiv ausleben lassen. Diese Erkenntnisse setzt der Autor in wirtschaftswissenschaftliche Marketingempfehlungen um und präsentiert wichtige Hinweise zur Ansprache potenzieller Blutspender, zur Schulung des Personals und zur Gestaltung des Spendeortes

    Blutspende, Erstspender, Neuspender, Rückkehrrate, Wiederkehrrate, Wohlbefinden, Well-being Background and objectives: Previous studies observed a transient increase in well-being in about one-third of regular donors after blood donation. In addition, personal contact with donors after donation seems to increase return rates. We were interested whether changes in well-being and/or personal contact after the first donation impact return rates of first-time donors (FTDs). Materials and methods: First-time donors were randomized to a questionnaire group (QG), in which questionnaires assessing the well-being had to be filled in, or a control group (CG), which was not contacted with a questionnaire. The QG had to complete the same questionnaire three times at the day of the first donation and then four times over an 8-week period with reminding calls by the study coordinator. Return rates of participants were followed for 12 months. Results: A total of 102 FTDs participated in the QG and 115 in the CG. Changes in well-being after the first donation had minimal impact on the return rates. In contrast, contacting FTDs after their first donation had a significant impact on the return rate of male donors (89!2% in the QG vs. 58!3% in the CG; P = 0.001). Females showed no significant difference in return rates between both groups (P = 0.32). Conclusion: The well-being of FTDs had no influence on their return rate.
