    Main description: Johann von Würzburg's "Wilhelm von Österreich" is a late representative of the courtly romance. Here it receives attention for the first time against the background of its literary-historical context and in terms of its complexity as a genre hybrid. At a time when didactic minor epic poetry, allegory, and the historicalization of courtly literature were all coming to a head, Johann interwove and set off against one another motivic strains and structural elements of Minnerede, romance, and historiography. The author sets out to trace exactly how he did this and also to show the lengths gone to in the reception of his work in the 14th to 16th centuries, from the manuscript scribes all the way to Hans Sachs, to impose a more unified character on the work. The annex contains a hitherto unedited Minneklage (love plaint)

    Main description: Johanns von Würzburg späthöfischer Roman »Wilhelm von Österreich« wird hier erstmals in seinem literaturhistorischen Kontext und seiner Komplexität als Gattungshybrid betrachtet. Die Verfasserin untersucht, wie Johann in einer Zeit, als die didaktische Kleinepik, die Allegorie und die Historisierung der höfischen Dichtung ihren Höhepunkt erreichten, Motive und Strukturen der Minnerede, des Romans und der Geschichtsschreibung miteinander verbindet und konfrontiert. Sie zeigt auch, wie die Rezipienten des Werks im 14.-16. Jahrhundert, von den Schreibern der Handschriften bis hin zu Hans Sachs, bemüht waren, dem Werk einen einheitlicheren Charakter zu verleihen. Im Anhang findet sich eine bisher unedierte Liebesklage

    Ausgangspunkt des Bands Ästhetik und Politik der Zerstreuung ist die Annahme, dass die produktive Instanz von Kultur ein anonymer Prozess diskursiver Zerstreuung und Zerstreutheit ist, dem als entgegengesetzte Operationen Formen von Sammlung und Konzentration entgegenwirken. Während letztere die Funktionen der Hierarchisierung, Totalisierung und Identifi zierung übernehmen, also Ordnung stiften in Bereichen, die eigentlich vom Prinzip der Dispersion gekennzeichnet sind, interessieren sich die Beiträge des vorliegenden Bands für ebenjene Momente kultureller Produktion, in denen das Prinzip der Zerstreuung entfesselt wird, Schlupflöcher findet, Grenzen überwindet und Fluchtlinien eröffnet. Angeregt von Überlegungen der Dortmunder Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaftlerin Ute Gerhard widmen sie sich in exemplarischen Studien den Praktiken, Räumen, Diskursen und Subjektivitäten der Zerstreuung. Auf diese Weise tragen sie dazu bei, ihre spezifische Ästhetik und Politik genauer zu konturieren.

    Main description: Johann von Würzburg's "Wilhelm von Österreich" is a late representative of the courtly romance. Here it receives attention for the first time against the background of its literary-historical context and in terms of its complexity as a genre hybrid. At a time when didactic minor epic poetry, allegory, and the historicalization of courtly literature were all coming to a head, Johann interwove and set off against one another motivic strains and structural elements of Minnerede, romance, and historiography. The author sets out to trace exactly how he did this and also to show the lengths gone to in the reception of his work in the 14th to 16th centuries, from the manuscript scribes all the way to Hans Sachs, to impose a more unified character on the work. The annex contains a hitherto unedited Minneklage (love plaint)

    Main description: Johanns von Würzburg späthöfischer Roman »Wilhelm von Österreich« wird hier erstmals in seinem literaturhistorischen Kontext und seiner Komplexität als Gattungshybrid betrachtet. Die Verfasserin untersucht, wie Johann in einer Zeit, als die didaktische Kleinepik, die Allegorie und die Historisierung der höfischen Dichtung ihren Höhepunkt erreichten, Motive und Strukturen der Minnerede, des Romans und der Geschichtsschreibung miteinander verbindet und konfrontiert. Sie zeigt auch, wie die Rezipienten des Werks im 14.-16. Jahrhundert, von den Schreibern der Handschriften bis hin zu Hans Sachs, bemüht waren, dem Werk einen einheitlicheren Charakter zu verleihen.     Es gilt die kulturkonstitutiven Potentiale der Zerstreuung zu erforschen, weil sie unser Orientierungswissen in Frage stellen und die ,Ordnung des Diskurses' karnevalistisch subvertieren. Ausgangspunkt des Bands Ästhetik und Politik der Zerstreuung ist die Annahme, dass die eigentlich produktive Instanz von Kultur ein anonymer Prozess diskursiver Zerstreuung und Zerstreutheit ist, dem als entgegengesetzte Operationen Formen von Sammlung und Konzentration entgegenwirken. Während letztere die Funktionen der Hierarchisierung, Totalisierung und Identifizierung übernehmen, also Ordnung stiften in Bereichen, die eigentlich vom Prinzip der Dispersion gekennzeichnet sind, interessieren sich die Beiträge des vorliegenden Bands für ebenjene Momente kultureller Produktion, in denen das Prinzip der Zerstreuung entfesselt wird, Schlupflöcher findet, Grenzen überwindet und Fluchtlinien eröffnet. Angeregt von Überlegungen der Dortmunder Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaftlerin Ute Gerhard widmen sie sich in exemplarischen Studien den Praktiken, Räumen, Dingen, Diskursen, Subjekten und Subjektivitäten der Zerstreuung und tragen so dazu bei, deren spezifische Ästhetik und Politik genauer zu konturieren.
