    Abstract: In öffentlichen und medialen Debatten spielt die Verknüpfung von Religion und Gender eine prominente und problematische Rolle. Religiöse Erfahrungen und Praktiken sind ohne Beachtung der Diversität der betroffenen und agierenden Subjekte nicht adäquat zu verstehen. Dennoch ist eine gendersensible Religionswissenschaft immer noch nicht selbstverständlich. Aktuelle und historische Fallstudien zum Zusammenhang zwischen Religion und Diversität nehmen verschiedene Religionen wie den Islam sowie westliches und orthodoxes Christentum in den Blick und behandeln zudem eine Vielfalt an Medien, wie Erzählungen, Filme, Serien oder Reality-TV

    Abstract: Eugenia Kim’s The Calligrapher's Daughter (2009) is a well-received East Asian novel about a Korean Christian, Najin's encounter with western culture. As an aristocratic woman, she is expected to uphold Korean tradition. However, as Najin realises that she is culturally marginalised by her father and the Korean traditional society mainly due to her gender, she picks up a foreign culture introduced to her, western culture. This move is extremely significant because after Najin driven by cultural marginalisation to embrace western culture, her cultural practices are no longer the same with traditional Korean women. This important turn of the novel has not been explored by scholars extensively. Thus, this study aims to depart from the cultural marginalisation faced by Najin. Furthermore, due to the fact that cultural identity formation is highly influenced by culture, there is a need to look into the changes of Najin’s cultural identity as she incorporates western culture into her Kor

    Abstract: Marilynne Robinson's Gilead (2007), a meditative letter written by an aging minister, probes the need for forgiveness and grace. George Bernanos's The Diary of a Country Priest (1936) pictures the suffering and sacrifice of an unnamed young priest in his attempt to open his parishioner’s heart to the love of God. Both novelists explore themes such as forgiveness, love, peace, faith, and grace. This paper first discusses the prevalent Christian themes in these novels, and the ways each novelist presents the saving and life-giving power of God's grace in healing and restoring human soul, and then compares their treatment of these issues. The Protestant Robinson's sensibility regarding these religious themes seems very similar to that of the Catholic Bernanos. Indeed, the American writer seems to be considerably influenced by her French predecessor

    Abstract: "In diesem Beitrag wird ein sozialpsychologischer Ansatz zur empirischen Erforschung zivilgesellschaftlicher Kontexte und deren Einfluss auf das Handeln wirtschaftlicher Akteure vorgestellt. Die methodische Herangehensweise beruht dabei auf Sozialtheorien, die explizit die Beziehung zwischen gesellschaftlichen Strukturen und individuellem Handeln berücksichtigen. Es wird die sinnvolle Nutzung eines solchen Ansatzes insbesondere für qualitative Interviewstudien aufgezeigt und anhand eines konkreten Fallbeispiels illustriert: dem Einfluss der christlichen Religion auf die Handlungsentwürfe klein- und mittelständischer Unternehmer."     Abstract: "Moderne theologische Wirtschafts- und Sozialethik sollte im Rahmen der wissenschaftstheoretischen Schritte 'Analyse, Synthese, Operationalisierung' erfolgen. Die christliche Wirtschafts- und Sozialethik erfüllt bei diesem Zuschnitt den Anspruch einer modernen theologischen Gerechtigkeitstheorie, die erstens ihr hermeneutisches Vorverständnis hinreichend klärt und analytisch an Problemstellungen herangeht, die zweitens auf der Basis eines hypothetischen Konsenses aller Betroffener zu normativen Theorien kommt und die als dritten Baustein die Implementation von Normen in reale wirtschaftliche Systemzusammenhänge gewährleistet. Theologische Wirtschafts- und Sozialethik kann auf diese Weise mit Hilfe ihres eigenen ethischen Instrumentariums sozialwissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse interdisziplinär mit normativer Theoriebildung verzahnen, ohne ihre spezifische theologische Ausrichtung aufzugeben."
