    Kolem roku 1800 se staly pojmy přirozenost a okamţitost centrálními vzhledem k literárnímu zpracování umění. Srovnáním Schlegelovy 'Louisy' a Goethova 'Werthera' zkoumá tato esej moţnosti, jak vyjádřit estetické zkušenosti slovy. V těchto textech se smyslové a estetické potěšení z umění konstruuje jako kategorie kontemplace i jako prostředek, jak komunikovat o umění. Zvláště konverzace o umění, která se povaţuje za literární ţánr, je rozhodující, jelikoţ její "fiktivní spontaneita" dovoluje působit jako mediator mezi okamţitostí estetického proţitku a potřebou sdělení těchto pocitů. Around 1800, the notions of nativeness and immediateness became central to the literary treatment of art. In comparing Schlegel's 'Louise' and Goethe's 'Werther', this essay examines how aesthetic experience is expressed in words. In these texts, the sensual and aesthetic pleasure brought about by experiencing works of art is constructed as a category of contemplation as well as a device to communicate art. Conversation about art, seen as a literary genre, is especially crucial, since its "fictional spontaneity" allows it to function as a mediator between the immediateness of the aesthetic experience and the need to communicate these feelings.

    This article analyses the essay "Gefühle bei Besuchung des Schönhofer Garten" by Jan Quirin Jahn (1739–1802), published in 1797 in the magazine "Apollo". The description of the English garden in Schönhof (Krásný Dvůr), the oldest of its kind in Bohemia, is seen in the light of aesthetic and theoretical discussions. The impression determines the reception of the new art of garden design. Jahn's literary walk through the garden of Schönhof also testified that new forms of aesthetic perception were intensively received in Bohemia.
