This article focuses on the means of expressing emotionality in internet commentaries written in German and Czech; the commentaries consist of reactions to news items on political topics. The author applies a contrastive approach. Politics is a field holding a strong potential for emotionality, which significantly affects text production. Internet commentaries in German and Czech are characterized by the use of verbal and non-verbal means that are typical of "cyberslang". The article also focuses on emotional nomination (of politicians and parties), offers a comparison of the cognitive concepts underlying this nomination in both languages, and examines the means of expressing the emotion "anger" - which is closely related to politics.

The article characterizes the stylistic tendencies found in academic economic texts with a high degree of abstraction presenting economic theory from the end of the 18th century to the present day. At the centre of the author's attention are changes that are visible on the microstructural level of the text. In this connection, the author also describes quantitative methods that can be used in the diachronic analysis of academic texts.

Im Fokus dieses Beitrags steht das Verhältnis von Sprache und Gewalt, die an sich selbst ausgeübt wird, insbesondere deren Versprachlichung und der damit einhergehende Gebrauch (fach)spezifischen Wortschatzes. Bei der Analyse wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie SVV in Online-Diskussionsforen für Betroffene und deren Angehörige dargestellt wird. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf den sprachlichen Mitteln bei der Beschreibung dieser psychischen Störung und der damit verbundenen Verhaltensweisen. Eine nicht zu vernachlässigende Rolle spielen dabei pragmatische Komponenten der Textgestaltung, insbesondere die der Emotionalität. Dies wird aus einer deutsch-tschechischen Perspektive betrachtet, um einen interlingualen Vergleich der Darstellung des Verhältnisses von Gewalt und Sprache zu ermöglichen The focus of this paper is the relationship between language and self-inflictedviolence in particular its verbalization and the corresponding use of a specific vocabulary. The analysis examines how self-harm is presented in online discussion forums for affected persons and their relatives. The focus is on the linguistic means of thedescription of this mental disorder and the associated behavior. Pragmatic components of the text design, especially the emotionality, play a role that is not to be underestimated. This is considered from a German-Czech perspective to enable an interlingual comparison of the representation of the relationship between violence and language.

Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden Ergebnisse einer kontrastiv angelegten deutsch-tschechischen Analyse von ausgewählten Ratgeber- und Diskussionsforen präsentiert, die auf eine konkrete Hauterkrankung namens Pityriasis rosea Gibert (dt. Röschenflechte) ausgerichtet sind. Die Aufmerksamkeit wird auf den Gebrauch einschlägiger medizinischer Terminologie einerseits durch Ärzte und andererseits durch Patienten und deren Angehörige gerichtet, wobei der Frage nachgegangen wird, welche außer- sowie innersprachlichen Faktoren die Verwendung der medizinischen Terminologie beeinflussen und welche kontextuellen Modifizierungen diese erfährt. Anhand eines interlingualen Vergleichs wird demonstriert, welche Ausdrücke im 'terminologischen Zentrum' und welche an der 'terminologischen Peripherie' bei den Usern solcher Foren in den beiden Sprachen stehen und ob diesbezüglich irgendwelche Unterschiede feststellbar sind. The paper presents the results of a contrastive Czech-German analysis of selected advisory and discussion forums focusing on the skin disorder called Pityriasis rosea Gibert. Attention is paid to the use of the relevant medical terminology by doctors, patients and their relatives. The aim of the analysis was to identify the internal and external linguistic factors influencing the use of medical terms associated with the skin disease and how they are modified in context. Using a contrastive approach, this study demonstrates which expressions are situated in the 'terminological center' and which stand on the 'terminological periphery' and what differences occur in both languages.
