Special Session (panel) "Radical Translations: The Transfer of Revolutionary Culture"

Translation has always been vital to the revolutionary struggle. Who were the militant translators? What did they translate? How did translation promote or contest a transnational revolutionary idiom?  We are particularly interested in the traffic of radicalizing translations in the revolutionary period (1789-1815), but also welcome a transhistorical approach.
