German Assistant Professor, Princeton

We invite applications for a position at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor to begin September 1, 2025. We seek a dynamic, creative, productive scholar and teacher with a focus on literature, media, and performance since 1945. We are particularly interested in scholars with expertise in fields including contemporary and transnational literatures, trans- and multilingualism, migration and diaspora studies, and Jewish studies. The successful candidate will have native or near-native fluency in German and English and will be expected to teach a full range of courses across our undergraduate and graduate curricula. Applications should consist of a letter of inquiry, CV, teaching statement, writing sample of circa 25 pages, and three letters of recommendation. For fullest consideration, apply by November 5, 2024. Ph.D. is expected by appointment start date. Initial interviews will be conducted via Zoom.
