Please consider submitting a paper proposal for the following GSA panel: 

CFP: Writing Trauma and the Body
German Studies Association Conference
Oct. 5-8, 2023
Montréal, Canada

We invite contributions that explore the relationship between writing, trauma and the body in German-language texts. Possible topics include, but are not limited to, trauma and narration, memory (cultural, bodily, familial, historical), silence and speakability, the experience of gender and sexual identity, and psychoanalytic and affect studies of trauma. Related contributions from other media beyond literature are also welcome. 

Please submit a short description of your proposed paper topic to Dr. Annie Pfeifer (ap750@columbia.edu) and Hazel Rhodes (hazel.rhodes@columbia.edu) by March 22nd, 2023.
