Rethinking Human Interaction in the Age of Transhumanism
Rethinking Human Interaction in the Age of Transhumanism
As the boundaries of the human body and mind are increasingly expanded through technological augmentation, the nature of communication is undergoing radical transformation. In the age of Transhumanism, human interaction is no longer confined to organic cognition or natural language. Neural interfaces, AI co-agents, digital consciousness, and bio-integrated systems are reshaping how we produce, perceive, and process meaning.
This edited volume seeks to explore the evolving landscape of transhuman communication—a landscape where enhanced cognition, synthetic biology, and post-biological consciousness converge. What does it mean to communicate when memory can be externally stored, when empathy can be digitally simulated, or when minds can interface directly with machines? How are our aesthetic, ethical, and linguistic paradigms adapting to these transformations?
We invite interdisciplinary contributions that critically engage with the implications, aesthetics, ethics, and theoretical foundations of communication in the transhuman age. Submissions may be in English, German, or Turkish, and can address, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- Theories of Communication in the Age of Transhumanism
- Mind Uploading and Post-Biological Language
- AI-Human Hybrid Cognition and Co-Agency
- Technologically Enhanced Bodies and the Semiotics of Augmentation
- Transhuman Identity and Language Evolution
- Digital Immortality and Narrative Continuity
- Transhuman Aesthetics in Contemporary Media and Art
- Communication in Synthetic, Virtual, and Mixed Reality Environments
- The Future of Empathy, Emotion, and Affect in Transhuman Discourse
We are particularly interested in contributions that adopt semiotic, philosophical, linguistic, cultural, or media-theoretical approaches to the subject.
