Starting in April 2021, the a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne, the Graduate School of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Cologne, will award
8 doctoral scholarships
and
up to 6 scholarships for a practice- and profession-oriented doctorate
funded by the Stiftung Mercator.
The a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School provides a valuable opportunity to pursue a doctorate through a structured doctoral model of intensive supervision and interdisciplinary research. Seeking to bridge the disciplinary divide between the humanities and the natural sciences, a.r.t.e.s. focuses on the complex intersections between language, history, culture, mediality, anthropology, and ethics.
