About You 

With a good honours degree (2:1 or above) and a PhD in a relevant subject area you will have successful teaching experience at undergraduate level with proven capacity to conduct and publish research.

You will be an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who can work well in a team to deliver student-centred teaching at Undergraduate and Masters level. You will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing with good organisational ability.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to teach a range of Literature courses at Undergraduate and Masters level in a thriving academic department with a dynamic research culture and a strong commitment to impact and employability.

There will also be the opportunity to undertake some undergraduate and MA dissertation supervision. We want to build on the Department’s strengths in nineteenth-century research, through the EHU19 research centre. Current research strengths include nineteenth-century gender studies, periodicals, popular culture, reception studies, and children’s literature.
