8. - 10. September 2022 an der Europa-Universität Flensburg

Die Tagung beschäftigt sich mit dem aktuellen Wandel der Literaturwissenschaften und Literaturdidaktiken im Kontext universitärer Bildung. Dieser Wandel wurde zum einen durch neue Konzepte im Bereich der Interkulturalitätsforschung vor dem Hintergrund globaler und postkolonialer Literaturen eingeleitet. Diese brechen mit dem Leitbild der ‚Nationalliteraturen‘, das jedoch nach wie vor prägend für den Zuschnitt von Fächergrenzen und Bildungsinhalten ist. Zum anderen wird dieser Wandel durch die Digitalisierungsbeschleunigung – auch aufgrund der Coronapandemie – verstärkt. Die Pandemie stellt uns alle vor neue Herausforderungen, besonders in der Wissenschaft, der Lehre, aber auch bezüglich unserer transnationalen Netzwerke und Kooperationen.

Im Kontext des interkulturellen, globalen und digitalen Wandels werden wir uns gemeinsam folgenden Fragen widmen: Welche Innovationen im Bereich der Literaturwissenschaften und Literaturdidaktiken sind durch die konzeptionellen und digitalen Transformationsprozesse entstanden? Wie verändern sich die Philologien, namentlich die Literaturwissenschaften und damit auch das Bildungsprofil angehender Lehrkräfte? In welche Richtung lässt sich dieser Wandel weiterdenken? Welche Lehrformate, Unterrichtsmodule und Projekte haben sich in universitären Kontexten entwickelt? Welche werden in Zukunft Bestand haben und konzeptuell transformiert? Gibt es spezifische Strategien, die internationale Begegnungen und interkulturellen Austausch in Lehre und Forschung trotz eingeschränkter Mobilität und ökonomischer Mittel ermöglichen? Wie lässt sich Interkulturalität und Internationalisierung in der Lehrkräftebildung angesichts dieser Prozesse zukunftsfähig gestalten?

Willkommen sind sowohl Beiträge zu theoretischen und methodischen Ansätzen im Bereich der Literaturwissenschaften und Literaturdidaktiken, die den oben skizzierten Wandel reflektieren, als auch Vorträge, die sich aus einer interkulturellen, transnationalen, diachronen oder interdisziplinären Perspektive mit Literaturen vom Mittelalter bis in die neueste Zeit beschäftigen. Dabei ist vor allem an Texte, Medien und Modelle aus den romanischen und deutschsprachigen Literaturen gedacht.

Mit der Tagung laden wir – das Team des Projekts Internationalisierung der Lehrkräftebildung @home. Interkulurelle Literatur als Modul – dazu ein, gemeinsam über die neuesten Transformationsprozesse der Literaturwissenschaften und Literaturdidaktiken durch Vorträge, Panels und eine Podiumsdiskussion nachzudenken und diese Prozesse des Wandels mitzugestalten. Eine Lesung rundet die Tagung als Abendveranstaltung ab.

Als Vortragssprachen sind Deutsch, Englisch, Französisch und Spanisch möglich.

Die Veranstaltung wird im Hybridformat organisiert: Die Tagung soll in Präsenz im schönen Norden Deutschlands, in der Fördestadt Flensburg, an der Europa-Universität Flensburg stattfinden. Ein digitales Zuschalten wird ebenfalls möglich sein. Die Veranstaltung wird im Livestream (über die Plattform Webex) übertragen.

Call for Papers for the Conference:

Transnational and Intercultural Literary Studies and Didactics of Literature.
Conceptual and Digital Transformations

September 8th – 10th 2022 at the European University Flensburg.

The conference deals with the current transformation of literary studies and literature didactics in the context of university education. On one hand, this change was initiated by new concepts in the field of interculturality research against the background of global and postcolonial literatures. These break with the guiding principle of 'national literatures', which, however, continues to be formative for the cutting of subject boundaries and educational content. On the other hand, this change is reinforced by the acceleration of digitalization - also due to the corona pandemic. The pandemic poses new challenges for all of us, especially in science, teaching, but also with regard to our transnational networks and collaborations.

In the context of intercultural, global and digital change, we will jointly address the following questions: What innovations in the field of literary studies and literary didactics have emerged as a result of the conceptual and digital transformation processes? How are the philologies, namely literary studies, and thus also the educational profile of prospective teachers changing? And in which direction can this change be further thought through? Which teaching formats, teaching modules and projects have developed in university contexts? Which ones will endure and be conceptually transformed in the future? Are there specific strategies that enable international encounters and intercultural exchange in teaching and research despite limited mobility and economic resources? How can interculturality and internationalization in teacher education be shaped for the future in light of these processes?

We welcome contributions on theoretical and methodological approaches in the field of literary studies and didactics that reflect the changes outlined above, as well as papers that deal with literatures from the Middle Ages to recent times from an intercultural, transnational, diachronic, or interdisciplinary perspective. Texts, media, and models from the Romance and German-language literatures are especially in mind.

With this conference we – the team of the project Internationalization of Teacher Education @home. Intercultural Literature as a Module – invite you to reflect together on the latest transformation processes in literary studies and didactics of literature through lectures, panels, and a panel discussion, and to help shape these processes of change. A reading will round off the conference as an evening event.

The lectures can be given in English, French, German and Spanish.

The event will be organized in a hybrid format: The conference shall take place in presence in the beautiful north of Germany, in the Fördestadt Flensburg, at the Europa-Universität Flensburg.
Digital joining will also be possible. The event will be livestreamed (via the Webex platform).
