Call for Papers
Scholars working in the field of cultural studies are invited to submit their work to the Kulturwissenschaftliche Zeitschrift 1/2019.
We welcome all submissions that present current, original, and/or state of the art research in their respective subject areas and have not been published or submitted for assessment elsewhere. Overlaps with other publications should be minimal. Contributions from all disciplines of cultural studies are welcome.

Die Kulturwissenschaftliche Zeitschrift
The Kulturwissenschaftliche Zeitschrift (KWZ) is published by DE GRUYTER OPEN as an open-access journal (ISSN 2451-1765) on behalf of the Kulturwissenschaftliche Gesellschaft (KWG). The journal is supported by the German Research Foundation (DfG).
The aim of this journal is to further research in the area of cultural studies with the publication of high-quality contributions from the various domains of the discipline. Alongside articles, reviews, and reports, each journal issue includes a guest article addressing current topics, interests, or controversies in the sphere of cultural studies. Contributions may be published in German or English.

Submission of the Articles
Articles submitted to the Kulturwissenschaftliche Zeitschrift will be double-blind peer reviewed. Authors may appoint four possible reviewers and name one reviewer to be excluded from the evaluation of their work. All articles will be checked for plagiarism.

Reviews and Reports
There is a separate domain for reviews (literature reviews, i.e. reviews dealing with several publications on a particular topic, are preferred) and conference reports. Please note that these will not be evaluated via peer review. Instead, authors will submit them directly to the responsible editor. Should they receive a positive evaluation, they will then be entered through the KWZ website:
