    ger: Diese Masterarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der ungarischen Übersetzung Kis csukák von Elfriede Jelineks Roman Die Liebhaberinnen. In der Übersetzung von Dezső Tandori kommt es teilweise zur Überzeichnung der Jelinekschen Romanfiguren. Dementsprechend wurde die zentrale Frage behandelt, worin genau sich die ungarische Übersetzung hinsichtlich der Darstellung der Romanfiguren vom Original unterscheidet bzw. wie mit Jelineks diesbezüglichem Spiel mit der Sprache – der kalten und zynischen Darstellung der Romanfiguren – in der Übersetzung umgegangen wird. Es wurde vermutet, dass der Übersetzer Jelineks Schreibstil und -technik ergänzt – u.a. Hinzufügen von Adjektiven, Wortspielen –, die Figuren dadurch mit zusätzlichen Eigenschaften ausstattet und damit die gesellschaftskritischen Aussagen der Autorin tendenziell verstärkt. Außerdem wurde vermutet, dass der Übersetzer durch seine Vorgehensweise zur positiven Rezeption des Romans in Ungarn beigetragen hat. Um dies zu überprüfen, wurden erst Elfriede Jelinek und ihr Werk vorgestellt. Danach wurden die gesellschaftskritischen Komponenten des Romans Die Liebhaberinnen sowie die literarischen Strategien, mithilfe derer die Autorin Gesellschaftskritik ausübt, erläutert, um überprüfen zu können, ob und wie diese in der ungarischen Übersetzung zum Ausdruck kamen. Anhand des Analysemodells der tendances déformantes von Antoine Berman konnte festgestellt werden, dass die literarische Vorgehensweise Jelineks zur Darlegung der Gesellschaftskritik in der Übersetzung stärker ausgeprägt ist. Tandori schnitt Jelineks Roman auf sein eigenes sprachliches und schriftstellerisches Talent zu und vermittelte ihre gesellschaftskritischen Aspekte in seinem eigenen Stil. Die Analyse der Peritexte bzw. Epitexte hat die zweite Hypothese insofern bestätigt, als dass anhand der Rezensionen festgestellt werden konnte, dass die übersetzerische Vorgehensweise Tandoris in vielen Rezensionen gelobt und die Übersetzung in sprachlicher Hinsicht dem Originalwerk gleichgestellt wurde und somit die Rezeption des Romans in Ungarn durchwegs positiv ausfiel. eng: This master's thesis deals with the Hungarian translation “Kis csukák” of Elfriede Jelinek's novel “Die Liebhaberinnen”. In the translation by Dezső Tandori, some of the characters in Jelinek's novel are depicted in an exaggerated way. Therefore, the central question of this thesis was how exactly the Hungarian translation differs from the original in terms of the representation of the characters in the novel. More specifically it is the aim to show how Jelinek's game with language – including the cold and cynical presentation of the characters in the novel – is dealt with in the translation. Consequently, it has been claimed that the translator complements Jelinek's writing style and technique by adding adjectives, word plays etc., thereby equipping the characters with additional features and additionally reinforcing the author’s socially critical statements. It was also assumed that the translator's translation strategies contributed to the positive reception of the novel in Hungary. To substantiate these hypotheses, in a first stage Elfriede Jelinek and her work were presented. Then, both the socially critical components of the novel “Die Liebhaberinnen” and the literary strategies with the help of which the author expresses her social criticism were illustrated in order to be able to verify whether and in which way these aspects were expressed in the Hungarian translation. On the basis of Antoine Berman's model of the “tendances déformantes”, it could be proven that Jelinek's literary procedures in expressing social criticism appears more pronounced in the translation. Tandori tailored Jelinek's novel to his own linguistic and literary talent and conveyed the socially critical aspects of the author’s work in his own style. The analysis of the peritexts and epitexts confirmed the second hypothesis insofar as the reviews showed that Tandori's translation method was highly praised in many reviews. The translation was equated with the original work in terms of Jelinek’s specific language use, and therefore the novel’s reception in Hungary was consistently positive.
