Ne pourrait-on voir le Madaurensis comme un nouvel Ulysse, revenant en Afrique après avoir fait sienne la polytropia du héros d'Homère, et mobilisant les savoirs méditerranéens pour leur donner un nouveau sens ?****************This book brings back to the fore the array of knowledge that Apuleius, currently considered a mere sophist, used to approach. In an attempt to help enlighten his project, the authors of this volume consider a variety of practical, spiritual and intertextual skills and knowledge mobilized by the Madaurensis, asking whether the polymathia, which is ascribed to him, could correspond to a genuine desire for knowledge and wisdom, and be sufficient to justify the title of philosophus? Could we not see the Madaurensis as a new Ulysses, returning to Africa after having adopted the polytropia of Homer's hero, and mobilizing Mediterranean knowledge to give it a new meaning?

    Der vorliegende Band vereint Beiträge der internationalen Tagung "Räume und Medien in der Romania - Spatii si medii în culturile romanice - Espaces et médias dans les cultures romanes", die vom 27. bis 30. September 2015 vom Lektorat Rumänisch des Instituts für Romanistik der Universität Leipzig in Kooperation mit dem Institutul Limbii Române Bukarest durchgeführt wurde. Die Konzipierung von Räumen und Raumstrukturen und deren Mediatisierung, die mediale Bedingtheit von Räumen und ihrer Wahrnehmung bilden das gemeinsame Bindeglied der inhaltlich weit gefächerten Beiträge, die Gegenstände der lateinischen, französischen, rumänischen, italienischen und lateinamerikanischen Literatur, aber auch Fotografie, Malerei, Theater, Film sowie digitale Medien behandeln. Einen Schwerpunkt bilden Arbeiten zur rumänischen Literatur und Kultur, begonnen mit Raumkonzepten in der älteren Literatur, über den (sub-)urbanen Raum bei Isac Peltz, die "verfluchten Räume" eines Max Blecher, Vintila Horias und Oana Orleas "imaginäre Heimatländer" bis hin zu "Orten und Nichtorten" in der rumänischen Neuen Welle. Sabine Krause, Übersetzerin und Romanistin, lehrt am Institut für Romanistik der Universität Leipzig französische und rumänische Linguistik und Sprachpraxis. El resultado es un texto descentralizado y dialógico que no articula una proposición determinada sino que tiene el impacto de una interpretación multívoca e infinita. Que el carácter innovador de la literatura del escritor argentino procede de su ocupación con la tradición judía -sobre todo con sus técnicas interpretativas- es la tesis que presenta este volumen. Si se considera que la tradición interpretativa de la cultura judía tiene como consecuencia una recepción permanente e infinita, puede decirse que esta tradición no solo es compatible con la literatura de Borges en particular sino también que ha sido una fuente de inspiración para la literatura moderna en general así como para las reflexiones que sobre ella se han hecho. Participan en el volumen: A. de Toro, C. Deppner, R. Fine, E. Fishburn, E. Martín Ortega, K. Meyer-Minnemann, L. Nascimento. DR. CORINNA DEPPNER es actualmente becaria en el Instituto de Romanística de la Universidad de Erfurt. Su investigación postdoctoral abarca la literatura de Teresa de Ávila y Clarice Lispector. Trabajó como profesora encargada en la Universidad de Hamburgo y la Universidad de Erfurt sobre la literatura argentina del exilio y sobre tradiciones místicas en la modernidad. Su tesis doctoral se publicó bajo el título Transformaciones del saber en la narrativa ficcional. Encuentros literarios con la cultura del recuerdo judía en la obra de Jorge Luis Borges, Mario Vargas Llosa y Moacyr Scliar (2016). Otros campos de investigación son: Literatura de los conversos, literatura sefardí y la literatura de Jorge Luis Borges. En 2016 se publicó su monografía El Aleph - Una metáfora de la modernidad y su différance. *** Der argentinische Schriftsteller Jorge Luis Borges gilt als ein Literat, der bereits in seinen Werken der 30er und 40er Jahre des 20. Jahrhunderts Strukturen geschaffen hat, die später die Postmoderne prägen sollten.     Literatur, die sich in gesellschaftlichen und politischen Prozessen kritisch zu Wort meldet, ist seit 1989 auch in Deutschland wieder deutlicher zu vernehmen. Sie nimmt Stellung zu den dringend anstehenden Problemen wie (Im)Migration, Re-Nationalisierung, Rassismus, Globalisierung, Überwachungsstaat, Neoliberalismus. Die Formen und Weisen der literarischen Stellungnahmen sind Gegenstand der in diesem Band versammelten Untersuchungen. AutorInnen wie Ulrich Peltzer, Juli Zeh, Kerstin Hensel, Navid Kermani, Uwe Tellkamp, Antje Rávic-Strubel, Ilija Trojanow, aber auch neue und neu inszenierte Erzählgenres wie Dorfgeschichte, Reisebericht oder Kriminalroman werden in eingehenden Analysen auf ihr kritisches Potential hin untersucht
