    Die in Österreich tätige Ergotherapeutin K. Habermann hat mit ihrem ersten Sachbuch einen umfangreichen Elternratgeber geschaffen. Sehr dicht, sehr wissenschaftlich, wird zunächst in der ersten Hälfte die kindliche Entwicklung behandelt und dargestellt, wie digitale Medien auf diese Einfluss nehmen können. Anschliessend können Eltern die eigene Familiensituation in Bezug auf den Medienkonsum anhand von Fragebögen und Checklisten beleuchten. Die folgenden Lösungsansätze geben Anregungen, wie der digitale Konsum des Kindes eingedämmt werden kann (z.B. Familienregeln erarbeiten, Medienkompetenz vermitteln). Dazu gehört auch, dass Eltern lernen mit Kinderschutzmassnahmen umzugehen, um z.B. Filter auf technische Geräte setzen zu können. Ist dann der Schritt zu mehr "digitalfreier" Zeit geschafft, werden im letzten Teil entwicklungsfördernde Alternativen zu Tablets & Co. aufgezeigt, wie z.B. der "Beschäftigungsrucksack". Viele Bezüge zur Ergotherapie, sowie Fallbeispiele aus der Arbeitspraxis der Autorin. Äusserst informativ, aber eher nichts für das schnelle Durchblättern. (2-3)
