    The ennemies of Claudel have always tried to depict him as a poet of the christian Middle Ages. In their opinion, his medieval inspiration, from Tête d’Or to Le Chemin de la Croix n° 2, could not be modern. But if we consider his complete works, it seems that his vision of the Middle Ages is far more wide that we could think. This period is christian, but far more inclusive. Claudel resurrected many medieval forms and genres, but always mixed them with other literary traditions. Therefore, Middle Ages are not turned towards the past, but towards the future. Indeed, Claudel is far more modern that his contemporaries. That is what we intend to demonstrate in a new essay called Paul Claudel and the Middle Ages, to be published by Champion in March 2022. ; Les détracteurs de Claudel n’ont cessé de le présenter comme un poète ancré dans le Moyen Âge chrétien. L’inspiration médiévale de Claudel, sensible de Tête d’Or au Chemin de la Croix n° 2, dénierait ainsi à son art toute modernité. En considérant l’intégralité de son œuvre, il apparaît que le Moyen Âge n’implique en rien une régression. Le Moyen Âge claudélien est beaucoup plus vaste qu’on ne l’imagine : il n’est pas uniquement chrétien mais accueille toutes les traditions du monde. Il ne fait pas seulement revivre les genres et formes de ce passé, mais les hybride. Le Moyen Âge est dès lors moins tourné vers le passé que vers l’avenir et semble, à sa manière, infiniment plus moderne que celui de ses contemporains. C’est ce que nous tentons de démontrer dans un essai à paraître chez Honoré Champion en mars 2022, Paul Claudel et le Moyen Âge.

    Das 17. Jahrhundert wird wegen Corneille, Molière und Racine, Autorenzeitloser Meisterwerke wie u.a. Le Cid, Tartuffe und Phèdre, als das Goldene Zeit desfranzösischen Theaters betrachtet. Ohne dass es erwähnt wird – und noch wenigerhinterfragt wird – bedeutet dies, die Geschichte des französischen Theaters mit der desTheaters aus Paris gleichzusetzen und ein ganzes Jahrhundert auf maximal 40 Jahre zureduzieren. Es gilt hier daher, eine andere TheatergeschichteFrankreichs zu entwerfen, eine, die das gesamte Theaterschaffen im französischenGebiet außerhalb der französischen Hauptstadt reflektiert und die Werke sowohl vor undnach der knappen Zeitspanne zwischen den 1630er und den 1670er Jahren als auch inallen Sprachen Frankreichs – und nicht nur in der „Sprache Molières“ – berücksichtigt. ; The 17th century is considered to be the golden age of French theater, incarnated by the trio of promising dramatists Corneille, Molière and Racine, authors of immortal master pieces, notably Le Cid, Tartuffe et Phèdre. Without ever mentioning or even less recognizing it, this conception of theater historiography parallels the evolving French theater with Parisian theater only and reduces a whole century of theater production to only more or less 40 years. In this paper, I aim at narrating or least pointing to a different history of French theater, a history that embraces theater production outside of the capital, before and after the narrow time period that goes from the 1630s to the 1670s, and in languages other than (Molièrian) French. ; Le XVIIe siècle est considéré comme l’âge d’or du théâtre français, pour avoir vu naître le trio que forment Corneille, Molière et Racine, auteurs des chefs-d’œuvre immortels que sont, notamment, Le Cid, Tartuffe et Phèdre. Sans jamais le dire et encore moins le penser, une telle conception fait en réalité coïncider l’histoire du théâtre français avec celle du théâtre parisien et un siècle entier avec une quarantaine d’années tout au plus. C’est donc une autre histoire que nous aimerions raconter autant que donner à penser, une histoire qui embrasse la production théâtrale des territoires français en dehors de la capitale, avant et après les bornes chronologiques étroites qui vont des années 1630 aux années 1670 et dans les langues de France autres que le français autant que dans la «langue de Molière».

    Zwischen 1876 und seinem Tod 1885 war Victor Hugo, einer der berühmtesten Schriftsteller Frankreichs des 19. Jahrhunderts, Mitglied des französischen Sénat. Dieses Mandat wird allerdings in seinen Biografien nur sehr wenig berücksichtigt. Denn diese Zeitspanne ist nämlich nicht durch einen politischen Rückzugs des republikanischen Hugo markiert, vielmehr kämpft er zu dieser Zeit seine letzten großen politischen Kämpfe. Nachdem er als Senator nur knapp gewählt wurde, setzte er sich gegen die persönliche Macht und für die Amnestie der Pariser Kommunarden ein; im Zuge des republikanischen Siegs wurde er sogar zu einer Art Wächterfigur des französischen Oberhauses. ; Since 1876 until his death in 1885, Victor Hugo, one of the most popular French authors of the 19thcentury, was member of the Senate. His mandate has, however, been rarely mentioned in biographies devoted to him. Far from being a self-effacing period in the life of Hugo, during his mandate he was fighting the last great battles of the republicans. After a difficult election, Victor Hugo became senator and started his fight against personal power, but in favor of the amnesty of the communards. In consideration of the republican victory, by the end of his life, Victor Hugo became a guardian figure of the Haute Assemblée. ; De 1876 à sa mort en 1885, Victor Hugo, l’un des écrivains français les plus célèbres du XIXe siècle, siège au Sénat. Ce mandat est très peu évoqué dans les biographies qui lui sont consacrées. Pourtant, loin d’être un temps d’effacement, cette période correspond aux derniers grands combats de l’homme politique républicain. Après une élection difficile, Victor Hugo devenu sénateur poursuit sa lutte contre le pouvoir personnel et en faveur de l’amnistie des communards. À la faveur de la victoire républicaine, il devient à la fin de sa vie une figure tutélaire de la Haute Assemblée.

    Writer-actor-composer-playwright-founder of cultural institutions-former DJ of African dance parties, Nassur Attoumani, a multifaceted man wearing his notorious pith helmet is one of the most important artistic voices of the Comoros Archipelago. In this interview, Nassur Attoumani talks about a literary language and identities, literature networks, the „postcolonial“ writer as (un)conscious translator, the absent reader, the humanitarian crisis related with the „migration“ from the islands of Anjouan, Mohéli and Grande Comore to Mayotte and the myth of the pith helmet he has been proudly wearing for several decades. ; Auteur-Acteur-Compositeur-Dramaturge-Fondateur de maison de culture-Ancien Dj de bals poussière, Nassur Attoumani, le porteur de multiples casquettes fidèle à son casque colonial est l’une des voix artistiques les plus importantes de l’archipel des Comores.     A robust sequential primal-dual linear programming formulation for reactive power optimization is developed and discussed in this paper. The algorithm has the characteristic that no approximations or complicate control logic are required in the basic Sequential Linear Programming (SLP) formulation as used by other SLP algorithms reported in the literature. Transmission loss minimization is used as the primary objective. A secondary feasibility improvement objective is used which results in better feasible solution in comparison with the loss minimization objective especially when the initial base case has over voltages. Modification in the proposed method to obtain the limited amount and limited movement of controller solution for real time application is also presented. The algorithm has been tested on Ward and Hale 6-Bus system.

    Sensory systems have been shaped by evolution to extract information that is relevant for decision making. In order to understand the mechanisms used by sensory systems for filtering the incoming stream of sensory input, it is important to have a quantitative understanding of the natural sensory scenes that are to be processed. Weakly electric fish lead a rather cryptic nocturnal life in often turbid tropical rainforest streams. They produce electric discharges and sense perturbations of their selfgenerated electric field for prey detection and navigation, and also use their active sense for communication in the context of courtship and aggression. The fact that they produce their electric signals throughout day and night permits the use of electrode arrays to track the movements of multiple individual fish and monitor their communication interactions, thus offering a window into their electrosensory world. This approach yields unprecedented access to information on the biology of these fishes and also on the statistical properties of the sensory scenes that are to be processed by their electrosensory system. The electrosensory system shares many organizational features with other sensory systems, in particular, the use of multiple topographic maps. In fact, the sensory surface (the skin) is represented in three parallel maps in the hindbrain, with each map covering the receptor organ array with six different cell types that project to the next higher level of processing. Thus, the electroreceptive body surface is represented a total of 18 times in the hindbrain, with each representation having its specific filter properties and degree of response plasticity. Thus, the access to the sensory world of these fish as well as the manifold filtering of the sensory input makes these fish an excellent model system for exploring the cell-intrinsic and network characteristics underlying the extraction of behaviourally relevant sensory information.

    International audience ; Following the growing interest and concerns regarding the open source software (OSS) phenomenon among academics and practitioners, many studies have been conducted to understand the factors that influence OSS success. However, research has primarily explored such factors in the context of well-known projects, such as Linux and Apache. Yet, lesser-known projects must be examined to gain a more complete understanding. Accordingly, this paper focuses on lesser-known projects to examine three factors that influence OSS popularity: user-developer interaction, market potential and development stage. Specifically, we develop an empirical model of OSS popularity and test our hypotheses on data from 657 open source projects. The findings show that the combination of the three factors has a positive effect on OSS popularity. Moreover, in contrast to previous research, the results reveal that exchanges among users and developers have a stronger influence on OSS popularity than bug-related activities. Overall, this research provides a novel way to measure OSS popularity for lesser-known projects and offers organizations a better understanding of OSS. ; Alors que le logiciel libre a particulièrement retenu l’attention et l’intérêt du monde académique et managérial, beaucoup de recherches ont cherché à comprendre les facteurs de succès de ces logiciels OSS. Une investigation des projets moins connus permettrait une compréhension plus complète et d’éviter un taux d’échec important des projets OSS.     International audience ; A better understanding of the link between consumption and life satisfaction has become a major stake for economists, who seek to find ways to improve the subjective well-being of people. But research results on the link between product and service consumption and life satisfaction are contradictory and depend on the kind of product, the country and time. The aim of this paper is to show the benefit of taking several moderators of the relationship between product satisfaction and life satisfaction into account: "product centrality", which can be defined as the importance and the impact of the product consumption on everyday life, "self congruity" and "lifestyle congruity". The results of three studies, one qualitative and two quantitative, show the effect of these three variables. Moreover, the influence of time on this relationship is studied. ; Mieux comprendre le lien entre la consommation et la satisfaction dans la vie est devenu un enjeu pour les économistes du bonheur qui tentent de trouver des leviers pour améliorer le bien-être subjectif des populations. Or, les travaux portant sur l'influence de la consommation de produits ou de services sur la satisfaction dans la vie divergent selon le produit, le pays et le temps. L'objectif de cet article est de montrer l'intérêt d'intégrer plusieurs modérateurs de la relation entre la satisfaction à l'égard du produit et la satisfaction dans la vie : la « centralité du produit », qui peut être définie comme l'importance et l'impact de la consommation d'un produit ou service dans la vie quotidienne, la « congruence entre le produit et le soi » et la « congruence entre le produit et le style de vie ». Trois études, l'une qualitative, les deux autres quantitatives, ont permis de montrer l'influence de ces variables. Par ailleurs, l'effet de la dimension temporelle sur la relation est étudié.

Elle est même parfois fort dépourvue, face à des contextes sociaux, culturels, historiques et politiques de nature à restreindre ou entraver son action. « L’intervention d’anthropologues, qui commence à s’imposer dans de telles circonstances, vise non seulement à connaître les facteurs sociaux de l’épidémie, mais aussi à humaniser les pratiques sanitaires et à déminer des situations souvent explosives, explique l’anthropologue de la santé et médecin Alice Desclaux. Elle peut même contribuer à la « préparation » en santé publique pour anticiper des problèmes à venir en cas de nouvelle flambée épidémique 2 ». Ainsi, depuis l’épisode d’Ebola de 2002 en République démocratique du Congo, l’oms associe systématiquement ces spécialistes des sciences sociales aux équipes d’intervention envoyées sur le terrain dès l’annonce d’un cas. Leur action a contribué à circonvenir les épisodes épidémiques précédents, dont le bilan ne dépassait quelques centaines de morts. L’humanisation des techniques et des soins est avant tout tournée vers les équipes soignantes. Il s’agit d’analyser d’un point de vue extérieur leurs gestes et leurs approches, afin d’identifier les pratiques pertinentes et d’en améliorer l’acceptabilité pour les patients et les populations concernées. Ainsi, les réflexes ultra-hygiénistes vis-à-vis du risque infectieux, produits par les craintes des professionnels de santé pour leur propre sécurité, peuvent avoir des résultats contreproductifs. « Effaroucher les patients ou leurs familles, en venant les chercher chez eux en scaphandre de protection, puis en détruisant leurs biens, pousse les populations à fuir le système médical officiel, au risque de disséminer davantage la maladie », indique-t-elle.     National audience ; This article, based on the theory of the social construction of reality, aims to understand if the construction of the plan of transition towards the circular economy (dispositif de transition vers l’économie circulaire – DTEC) induces, in France, the institutionalization of a concept. The emerging concept of the circular economy (économie circulaire – EC) is situated in the context of debates on taking into account the impact of economic activity on nature (l’impact de l’activité économique sur la nature – IAEN). A corpus of French texts, participating in the DTEC since 2008, is the subject of a transversal contextualized analysis of discourse. The results show a diversified institutional job, in the theorization phase, without a common conceptualization of EC but converging on the need for a regulated territorial waste management policy. The institutionalization process is then discussed with the institutional change model. The interactions between institutional pressures to take the IAEN into account introduce the prospect of societal institutional change. ; Cet article vise à comprendre, avec les travaux issus de la théorie de la construction sociale du réel, si la construction du dispositif de transition vers l’économie circulaire (DTEC) induit, en France, l’institutionnalisation d’un concept.
