    Im vorliegenden Artikel wird eruiert, wie sich das Fremd- und Selbstbild zweier italienischer Intellektueller in ihrer literarischen Beschäftigung mit Afrika mani-festiert. Anhand von Gedichten und politischen Schriften Pier Paolo Pasolinis sowie Reiseberichten Dacia Marainis und unter Rückgriff auf biographische und soziokulturelle Informationen wird die Darstellung des Anderen herausgearbeitet und im Kontext von Orientalismus-, Exotismus- und Alteritätsdiskursen kritisch reflektiert. Auf eine Einführung, in der die Verbindung zur Covid-19-Pandemie und aktuellen Rassismus-Debatten hergestellt wird, folgt im ersten Teil des Beitrags eine kultur-wissenschaftliche Analyse des Archaik-Konzepts Pasolinis, das zentral für das Verständnis seines utopisch-verklärten Afrikabilds ist. Im zweiten Teil des Artikels stehen Dacia Marainis Beschreibungen der bereisten afrikanischen Länder im Vordergrund, an denen aufgezeigt wird, wie stark die Autorin und ihre Berichte trotz ihrer Bemühungen um Objektivität von ihrer Sozialisation und ihren Wert-vorstellungen geprägt sind. Sowohl Pasolini als auch Maraini – so wird in einem abschließenden Vergleich herausgestellt – wohnt eine gewisse eurozentristische Haltung inne, der sie sich aufgrund ihrer europäisch-‚westlichen‘ Perspektive, wenn auch teilweise ungewollt, nicht entziehen können. ; This article analyses the manifestation of the self-image and the perception of the ‘other’ in two Italian intellectuals’ literary works about Africa. It examines the portrayal of the ‘other’ based on poems and political writing by Pier Paolo Pasolini, travelogues by Dacia Maraini as well as their biographical and sociocultural background before reflecting it in the context of orientalism, exotism and othering. The introduction, establishing a link to the Covid-19-pandemic and current debates on racism, is followed by a cultural science-based analysis of Pasolini’s concept of the archaic which is vital for the understanding of his utopian and nostalgic image of Africa. The second part of the article emphasizes that, despite her efforts for objectivity, Maraini’s depiction of the African countries she travelled to is characterized by her socialisation and moral conceptions. Both Pasolini and Maraini – willingly or not – are impacted by a certain eurocentrism they cannot escape due to their ‘occidental’ perspectives.

    In a time where the political, social and media discourse represents the topic of migration and of flight as socially explosive subject, this article analyses how, in the short stories collected in Kaha Mohamed Aden’s Fra-intendimenti (2010), the migrant subject’s self-perception is formed by the stereotypes which their society of arrival cultivate, and how the real complexity experienced by the migrant subject is, at the same time, represented by a double referentiality. For this purpose, Edward Said’s reflections on the European and hegemonic construction of alterity and bell hooks’ intersectional approach which links race and gender will help, on the one hand, in highlighting the stereotypical perceptions of the society of arrival. On the other hand, Homi K. Bhabha’s concept of the Third Space, used to shed light on the dynamics of communication in migratory contexts, will contribute to the establishment of the complex reality experienced by the migrant subject. Thus, the reader is given the opportunity to change their own perception of reality. ; In un momento in cui il discorso politico, sociale e mediatico rappresenta il tema della migrazione e della fuga come socialmente esplosivo, questo articolo analizza come nei racconti di Fra-intendimenti (2010) di Kaha Mohamed Aden la percezione di sé del soggetto migrante venga formata dagli stereotipi che la società di arrivo proietta su loro e come, allo stesso tempo, si rappresenti la vera complessità della realtà vissuta dal soggetto migrante attraverso una doppia referenzialità. Da una parte si ricorrerà alle riflessioni di Edward Said sulla costruzione europea ed egemonica dell’alterità e all’approccio di bell hooks, che si focalizza sulle intersezioni tra race e gender, per evidenziare le percezioni stereotipe della società di arrivo; dall’altra, il concetto di «Terzo Spazio» sviluppato da Homi K. Bhabha per segnalare le dinamiche di comunicazione in contesti migratori contribuirà a mostrare la complessità della realtà sperimentata dal soggetto migrante. Così, il lettore o la lettrice ha la possibilità di cambiare la propria percezione della realtà.

    Die Übersetzung von Kinder- und Jugendliteratur eröffnet ein breites Spektrum an Herausforderungen: Da das Verhältnis zwischen dem Autor und seinem jungen Zielpublikum in kognitiver, sprachlicher und entwicklungspsychologischer Hinsicht asymmetrisch ist, muss der Übersetzer anstreben, dieses Gefälle durch verschiedene Strategien auszugleichen. Prinzipiell stehen dem Übersetzer hierfür zwei Lösungswege offen: die einbürgernde Übersetzung einerseits und die verfremdende Übersetzung andererseits. Übersetzer für Kinder- und Jugendliteratur greifen häufig auf die einbürgernde Übersetzung zurück, da diese es ermöglicht, die Alterität des Ausgangstexts zu reduzieren und die Verständlichkeit der Übersetzung sicherzustellen. Die Verwendung von verschiedenen Registern, Dialekten, Fachjargons, Jugendsprache oder Phantasiesprachen stellt eine weitere Hürde dar, die der Übersetzer überwinden muss. Nicht zu vernachlässigen sind zudem die Herausforderungen, die sich aus der Verwendung fingierter Mündlichkeit ergeben: Diese Erzählstrategie wird bewusst eingesetzt, um dem Text Eindringlichkeit und Lokalkolorit zu verleihen. Im vorliegenden Beitrag sollen die oben beschriebenen Schwierigkeiten anhand von Übersetzungen einiger Kinderbücher von Otfried Preußler (Das kleine Gespenst) und Christine Nöstlinger (Konrad oder Das Kind aus der Konservenbüchse; Wir pfeifen auf den Gurkenkönig) in die romanischen Sprachen analysiert werden.

    Der historische Roman Il resto di niente (1986) von Enzo Striano greift mit der Dichterin und Zeitungsherausgeberin Eleonora de Fonseca Pimentel die im kollektiven Gedächtnis der Gegenwart prominenteste Persönlichkeit der Neapolitanischen Republik von 1799 auf, die nach der Rückeroberung der Stadt durch monarchistische Truppen hingerichtet wurde. Das im 19. Jahrhundert tradierte heroische Bild Fonseca Pimentels als republikanische Märtyrerin für den italienischen Einheitsgedanken wird jedoch in Strianos Roman revidiert, indem er seine Protagonistin als eine intellektuelle Außenseiterin porträtiert, die sich schließlich der Vergeblichkeit ihrer politischen und gesellschaftlichen Bestrebungen bewusst wird. Der vorliegende Beitrag zielt auf eine Untersuchung der literarischen Repräsentation Fonseca Pimentels und ihrer Bedeutung als Bezugspunkt für Neapels Intellektuelle. ; Enzo Striano’s historical novel Il resto di niente (1986) deals with the life of 18th century poet and newspaper editor Eleonora de Fonseca Pimentel who is commemorated as the most prominent representative of the Neapolitan Republic of 1799. Executed by royalist repression after the Republic’s decline, she became a hero and patriotic martyr for Italy’s movement of national unification. Striano’s novel revises Fonseca Pimentel’s 19th century heroic image by portraying his protagonist as an intellectual outsider who eventually becomes aware of the futility of her political and social aspirations. This article examines the literary representations of Fonseca Pimentel as well as her importance as a point of reference for Naples’ intellectuals.

    Der vorliegende Artikel beschäftigt sich mit der Autorfrage in Zeiten der künstlichen Intelligenz. Die Frage nach der Austauschbarkeit des empirischen Schriftstellers stellt sich dabei verstärkt seit dem Zeitalter der Kybernetik. Im Folgenden werden zwei Positionen, Italo Calvinos Idee einer Autormaschine ("Cibernetica e fantasmi", 1967) und dem Autorbot bei Clemens Setz ("Bot. Gespräch ohne Autor", 2018), untersucht. Calvinos Kombinationsmaschine, die in Analogie zu einem algorithmischen Vorgehen steht, hat den Autor ersetzt. Der Autor ist nicht mehr Ursprung des Textes, wie auch Roland Barthes betont. Doch die Maschine kommt nicht ohne die gesellschaftlich und individuell bedingten Geister aus, die sie heimsuchen. Der zeitgenössische Schriftsteller Clemens Setz lässt hingegen einen Bot, der mit dem Archiv seiner Texte gefüttert wurde, in seiner Abwesenheit auf Interviewfragen antworten. Menschliche und technische Logik liegen für den Leser dabei näher beieinander, als erwartet. Paradoxerweise, so ist festzuhalten, bestärkt die Inszenierung des fehlenden Autors bei Clemens Setz aber die Autorfigur - denn der Autor muss sich in Interviews, auf Preisverleihungen und Reden bewähren. Zeichen einer neuen Wichtigkeit und Sichtbarkeit des Autors? Este artigo trata da questão do autor em tempos de inteligência artificial. A questão da intercambialidade do escritor empírico tem sido cada vez mais levantada desde a era da cibernética. Nas duas posições seguintes serão analisadas, a ideia de uma máquina-autor de Italo Calvino ("Cibernetica e fantasmi", 1967) e o bot de Clemens Setz ("Bot. Gespräch ohne Autor", 2018). A máquina combinada de Calvino, que é análoga a um procedimento algorítmico, substituiu o autor. O autor não é mais a origem do texto, como também enfatiza Roland Barthes. Contudo, a máquina não pode prescindir dos espíritos condicionados social e individualmente que a assombraram. O escritor contemporâneo Clemens Setz, por outro lado, deixa um robô abastecido com o arquivo de seus textos responder às perguntas de entrevista durante sua ausência. Para o leitor, a lógica humana e a técnica estão mais próximas do que o esperado. Paradoxalmente, é possível perceber em Clemens Setz que a encenação do autor ausente reforça sua própria figura, visto que esse precisa estar presente em entrevistas, cerimônias de premiação e discursos.     "Danúbio" (1986), do germanista triestino Claudio Magris (1939-), é considerado uma das obras paradigmáticas das novas formas de escrita em que a liberdade expressiva se manifesta na ruptura das fronteiras entre ficção, testemunho e história, essencial ao ensaio. Ao mesmo tempo, é pioneira na recolha de obras que, com base na figura do rio, refletem sobre a história cultural. Escrito na primeira pessoa do singular (uma forma prototípica do gênero desde sua fundação com Michel de Montaigne em 1580), e com uma concepção de temporalidade inspirada em Fernand Braudel e seu "O Mediterrâneo e o Mundo Mediterrâneo no Tempo de Filipe II" (1949), este livro é uma viagem através do Danúbio, desde sua nascente na Floresta Negra até sua foz no Mar Negro. Através desta viagem, o escritor triestino navega não só na superfície, mas também nas águas profundas e antigas das culturas da Europa Central que o rio banha em sua viagem. Ali, ele se pergunta sobre a relação desses territórios com a Europa, os altos e baixos históricos das culturas germânicas e sua relação não apenas com o esplendor da modernidade (tanto capitalista quanto sua alternativa comunista) e seu constante refluxo e fluxo de civilização e barbárie, mas também com seu colapso - que pode ser visto no período histórico em que a obra é concebida: no vislumbre da queda do Muro de Berlim e do colapso da União Soviética. Ahí, se pregunta por la relación de esos territorios con Europa, los avatares históricos de las culturas germánicas, y su relación no sólo con el esplendor de la modernidad (tanto capitalista como su alternativa comunista) y sus constantes flujos y reflujos de civilización y barbarie, sino también con su colapso - lo que se constata en la época histórica en que la obra es pensada: en el vislumbre de la caída del Muro de Berlín y el ocaso de la Unión Soviética. En ese paisaje de renovación, el "yo" que se busca en las aguas turbulentas del Danubio explora al mismo tiempo los límites de la escritura, tanto de la Historia como de la ficción. De esta manera, "El Danubio" renueva la siempre vigorosa tradición germánica de la literatura de viajes.
