The article presents the state of art of ecocritical research on German literature. Although it has started in a later period in comparison to the USA, there is already a number of publications that indicate that this is a developing research field. O artigo apresenta o estado da arte da pesquisa ecocrítica sobre a literatura alemã. Apesar de esta ter se iniciado tardiamente em comparação com os EUA, já há um número de publicações que apontam para uma área em desenvolvimento.
