    Bu makalede geleneksel Alman genç kız romanının temel eserlerinden birisi olan Emmy von Rhoden'in "Der Trotzkopf" (1885) adlı romanı ile modern dönemi temsilen Dagmar Chidolue'nun "Lady Punk" (1985) adlı romanı toplumsal cinsiyet araştırmaları ile yeniden okunmuştur. Bu okuma ve analiz süreci sonucunda kurgusal genç kız imgesinin gelenekselden moderne doğru geçirdiği değişim karşılaştırmalı olarak ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Diğer bir hedef ise modern döneme gelindiğinde genç kız imgesinin lehine olan özgürleşmesinde rol oynayan etmenleri ve kazandığı özgürlüğün niteliklerini vurgulamaktır. Sonuçların toplumsal cinsiyet araştırmalarına dayanılarak yorumlanması sürecinde ise çalışmaya her iki romandan elde edilen bulgular rehberlik etmiştir. In this article, Emmy von Rhoden's "Der Trotzkopf" (1885), which is one of the fundamental works of the traditional German young adult girl novel and Dagmar Chidolue's novel "Lady Punk" (1985), representing the modern era, have been re-read through gender studies. As a result of this reading and analysis process, the transformation of the young girl image from the traditional to the modern have been tried to be compared. Another goal has been to emphasize the factors that play a role in the emancipation of the young girl image in modernist period and the qualities of freedom that she earns. In the process of interpreting the results based on gender studies, the findings obtained from both novels have given guidance to this study.
