The Department of Languages and Literary Studies at Lafayette College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor of German to begin July 1, 2023. This is a full-time appointment with a 3/3 teaching load. The successful candidate will teach German language, literature, and culture courses at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum and participate in extracurricular language/culture activities. Areas of research specialization are open. We are particularly interested in candidates with interdisciplinary expertise in fields such as transnational literature and culture, race and migration, postcolonial studies, environmental humanities, film and media studies, or gender studies. Native or near-native proficiency in German and English as well as a Ph.D. at the time of appointment are required.
