6 Postdoc fellowships on Texts, Traditions and Book Cultures, Scuola Superiore Meridionale, Università di Napoli Federico II

The Scuola Superiore Meridionale (SSM) invites applications for 21 post-doctoral fellowships in Humanities and Social Science. Successful appointees will engage in independent research in the following areas:

TTCL: Texts, Traditions and Book Cultures - 6 fellowships.

The fellowships are expected to start in November 2021. Fellows will have access to mentoring and will be asked to deliver tutorial teaching and supervision to undergraduate and graduate students in the SSM for up to a maximum of 50 hours per year. The posts are tenable for one year in the first instance and can be renewed for a further two years. The posts will not be renewed beyond the third year.

Salary: € 35,000 per year.

Admission requirements: Candidates must hold a PhD awarded between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2020. They must also have an excellent command of English and possibly of a second or third language. As part of the application, each candidate should submit a research project in a subject relevant to the research program of interest following the instructions detailed in the Call for Applications and a syllabus.

The deadline for application closes at 2:00 pm on 31 August 2021 and Interviews for shortlisted candidates are likely to be held the week commencing 24 September. Please note that the appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to standard pre-employment screening, as applicable to the post.
