English Goethe Society - Prawer Lecture - Call for Applications

The English Goethe Society invites applications for its second Prawer Lecture, to be held in January 2023. This annual lecture promotes the work of outstanding graduate students working on any aspect of literature, culture and history in the German-speaking world from 1700-1900. Graduate students registered at any higher education institution in the UK or overseas are invited to send abstracts of up to 500 words to Kevin Hilliard (kevin.hilliard@spc.oxac.uk), Astrid Köhler (A.Kohler@qmul.ac.uk) and Charlotte Lee (cll38@cam.ac.uk) by Thursday 30 June, 2022. Depending on their place of residence / study, the winner will be invited to give the lecture online or in person.Further enquiries may be directed to the addresses given above.

Please note that applicants will need to be registered as a student on 1 October 2022 in order to be eligible.
