Mit dem Relaunch des zentralen Open-Access-Portals im deutschsprachigen Raum, dem open-access.network, kuratieren wir jetzt eine Seite, auf der fachspezifische Informationen zum Open-Access-Publizieren in der AVL zusammengetragen sind: https://open-access.network/informieren/open-access-in-fachdisziplinen/allgemeine-und-vergleichende-literaturwissenschaft. Damit hat jetzt auch die AVL als "kleines Fach" neben anderen großen Philologien wie der Germanistik und Romanistik ihren eigenen Platz als Fachdisziplin beim open-access.network.

New data sources on avldigital.de: union catalogues and collections from Berlin

avldigital.de is a supra-regional portal that serves to supply the Comparative Literature research community with scholarly publications and information. The catalogue index of the "Finding literature" module contained in the portal has recently been considerably expanded by almost three million bibliographic references of scholarly publications. This selection reflects the Comparative Literature collections of all university libraries in Germany. A focus is on the collections of two renounced libraries in Berlin.

With the Finding literature module, avldigital.de offers a specialised catalogue for research literature and information in Comparative Literature. To support comparatists in their work, this catalogue now includes a means to export bibliographical references for use in reference management software. It can be found in the new Tab "Export".

The project Digi20 makes digitised versions of research literature available online. The focus is on the humanities and social sciences. Titles come from the publishing houses Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, Wilhelm Fink / Ferdinand Schöningh and Otto Sagner. On avldigital.de, all 5.250 titles have now been added to the "Finding literature" module's catalogue.

Digital teaching in Comparative Literature - A new module on avldigital.de

Due to the Covid-19 pandemia, all university teaching needs to be realised digitally on very short notice. Even though there is no lack of local and online support for the teaching staff of universities, everybody is confronted with the same questions: How to start teaching digitally, what tools to use, which guidelines to observe, how to support students? On avldigital.de, the Specialised Information Service Comparative Literature supports teaching scholars in Comparative Literature in finding answers to these questions. To this end, it has formed a close cooperation with the initiative "Digital Teaching German Studies" and its information platform.
