6 doctoral fellowships in linguistics, University of Verona and the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano
Ph.D. positions in Linguistics
The University of Verona and the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano have currently opened 6 positions
within their joint Ph.D. programme in Linguistics. Selected Ph.D. candidates will receive a 3-year
fellowship.
The successful applicants are committed to conducting independent and original scientific research
and participating in local, national and international training activities to develop their potential. Given
the multilingual environment of the programme, we encourage the application of international
students with a good command of English and at least one second language (Italian or German).
Applications can be uploaded starting 13th May 2021. The deadline for online applications is 7th June
2021. Only online applications through the university application system are accepted (please do not

The selection procedure involves evaluation of the candidates' Master's theses, their research project
as well as an online interview. For details see the application website.
One of the fellowships is reserved for a Ph.D. project funded by EURAC research in the domain of

A second fellowship is reserved for a Ph.D. project in the domain of the digital humanities (see
