    Pier Paolo Pasolini a entretenu des rapports complexes et chaotiques avec l'Histoire. C'est à partir d'un texte intitulé Le sentiment de l'histoire dont il est l'auteur que notre travail de recherche est né. C'est ce rapport qu'il s'agira de comprendre, car, nous semble-t-il, c'est de ce corps à corps avec l'histoire que se love la production artistique du cinéaste. En découpant le corpus pasolinien en trois grands axes, nous verrons d'abord comment son sentiment de l'histoire est vécu sous le mode d'un retour à un temps pré-historique; puis comment l'antique vient hanter le contemporain et enfin comment « il dopo storia » ce temps dénoncé par Pier Paolo Pasolini dès la moitié des années soixante a effacé tous les spectres du passé, provoquant ainsi l'homologation la plus atroce: celle des corps et des chairs, modifiant par là même notre rapport à la réalité. Pasolini serait alors l'ange de l'histoire (Angelus Novus) si bien décrit par Walter Benjamin, annonçant avec une exactitude glaçante ce que le XXI ème siècle est devenu. Un ange qui agit à la fois pour son temps et contre son temps afin de permettre l'émergence des spectres de l'histoire pour reprendre le vocabulaire de Walter Benjamin. Ces figures fantomatiques, ces lucioles pasolinniennes survivent dans notre présent et permettent ainsi de construire un agir politique en faveur de notre temps: voilà sans doute l'héritage que nous a laissé Pasolini

    Par l'analyse critique des procédures d'établissement des éditions, et de circulation des commentaires, cette étude montre comment au fil du temps, à partir de quatre pages manuscrites dont la transcription, pourtant, oblige à des interventions qui réduisent à peu sa prétendue authenticité, une tradition a pu mettre en place et perpétuer ce que l'on désigne aujourd'hui le plus ordinairement du nom vague de "Pari de Pascal". La grande diversité des délimitations, dénominations, leçons, interprétations, que l'on ne peut en aucune manière considérer comme une progressive venue au jour de la véritable forme d'un texte, engage à contester l'économie de la textualité, à faire voir comment la série des éditions et des commentaires produit, dans un mouvement de répétitions, ce qu'elle représente comme sa propre origine, et institue ains ce qu'elle désigne comme un texte et un auteur This study shows how four manuscript pages happened to become through the ages what is nowadays most usually known as the "Pari de Pascal" ("Pascal's wager"), one of the famous pieces of the so called "Pensées de Pascal". A critical analysis of publication editing procedures and commentary circulation demonstrates that they were established and perpetuated as a text by a tradition through many operations of transcription which greatly reduce their supposed authenticity. As we explore the wide range of delimitations, denominations, philological lectures, and interpretations, which these pages underwent and which can in no way be considered as a progressive bringing to light of the text true form, we are led to contest the economy of textuality, and to show how the series of publications and commentaries produces, in a process of repetitions, the very object that it depicts as its own origin, and how this series constructs and institutes what it represents as a text and an author

    Le motif du désir est traité dans une sélection de dramaturges contemporains espagnols des trois dernières décennies. Le travail tente de mettre en valeur les changements d’une société en pleine mutation qui passe de l'excitation et l'enthousiasme de la fin d'un régime oppresseur à un questionnement proche du désenchantement à la fin du millénaire pour finalement proposer un retour à des valeurs humanistes et résolument engagées. L'étude montre que les œuvres les plus enthousiastes sous-entendaient dès les années 70 la notion d'illusoire alors que les générations à priori les plus désabusées offrent un regard plus optimiste et plus attaché à des faits moins spectaculaires, plus dérisoires mais plus pragmatiques. Le désir est mis en rapport la perversion, la mélancolie, les vampires, les sexualités, la circularité, le mystère, le fantastique, l'utopie, le songe et la tragédie. L'approche sémiotique, linguistique, anthropologique, philosophique, sociale est avant tout littéraire. Elle se veut diffusion d' une actualité théâtrale espagnole dynamique et singulière The subject of desire is dealt with in a selection of contemporary Spanish playwrights from the last three decades. This work highlights the changes in a society which transitions from a period of excitement and enthusiasm at the end of an oppressive regime, to one which is self-questioning and almost disenchanted at the end of the millennium, and eventually to a return to values which are more humanistic and definitely more expressive of a social consciousness. This study shows that the most enthusiastic plays from the 1970s understate the illusion of desire whereas following generations, who at first appear more disillusioned, are actually more optimistic and more involved in commonplace events; through this, things which are trivial tend to become more pragmatic. Desire is here described in relation to perversion, melancholy, vampires, sexualities, circularity, mystery, magic, utopia, dreams and tragedy. The semiotic, linguistic, anthropological, philosophical and social approach is first and foremost one of a literary basis. The intention of this thesis is to draw attention to the evolution of Spanish theatre and to spark interest in the exciting and dynamic productions that are uniquely Spanish drama

    Prenant pour point de départ l'œuvre de l'écrivain américain, Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849), notre thèse étudiera les écrits du français Henri Bosco et de l'italien Dino Buzzati. Elle concernera principalement la première moitié du XXe siècle. On étudiera le thème des lieux en montrant comment ces derniers deviennent des paysages fantasmatiques : les lieux de la mort sont des lieux isolés qui influencent l'action et sont, parfois, des personnages à part entière. Puis, on analysera le thème du temps, indissociablement lié au sentiment de la mort. On verra ce dernier se manifester dans l'immobilité - ou l'accélération - du temps, dans la perte du sentiment de la durée ou la mesure obsessionnelle du temps par les personnages. Enfin, le sentiment de la mort apparaîtra à travers le thème des personnages complexes, ambigus, parfois pervers, ou, au contraire, symbolisant le Bien absolu. On ne dissociera pas l'étude de ces thèmes de celle des principaux axes des œuvres. Ainsi, on verra comment les lieux, les personnages et le sentiment de la durée servent l'idée de la quête de l'Idéal. On montrera aussi que cette dernière ne peut exister sans une spiritualisation du monde où l'on voit agir l'âme des lieux et celle des personnages. Et l'analyse des œuvres montrera de quelle façon celles-ci reflètent les préoccupations eschatologiques des auteurs : exploration du seuil de l'au-delà, présence des données, apocalyptiques, infernales. Enfin, on mettra en évidence que le fantastique est le principe d'écriture régissant les œuvres étudiées : onirisme en rapport avec le sentiment de la mort, présences de la Mort maternelle, d'un avant-monde de la naissance, d'une intrusion de la mort dans la vie From the Edgar Allan Poe's works, our thesis will examine some ones of the French novelist, Henri Bosco, and a few of the Italian writer, Dino Buzzat. It ill concern mainly the first half of the twentieth century. We'll study the themes of the places showing how they serve the imaginary world of the writers : the spots of death are isolated places where the animal and vegetable kingdoms just as the elements influence action. Sometimes they are themselves true characters. The, we'ss analyse the theme of time linked to the feeling of death : motionlessness or too speedy time, the loss of the feeling of length or, on the contrary, the obsession of time by the characters. We won't dissociate the study of these themes of the key-ideas of the works. So, we'll see how the places, the characters and the feeling of lengthh contribute to the idea of the quest of Ideal. We'll show also that the quest doesn't exist without a world metamorphosed by the transcendence in which the soul of the places and that one's of the characters are acting. And the analysis of the works will show how they reflect the preoccupations of the authors : exploration of the the treshold of the beyond, presence of apocalyptic, infernal facts. At last, we'll bring that the fantastic is the principle of the style governing the studied works : obvious connection between imagination and feeling of death, presences of maternal death, of a world before the birth, of an interference of death into life

    Avec plus de 530 figures ... With above 530 feminine figures listed in the field of literary and scientific culture, erudite women represent in the Age of Enlightenment an important phenomenon with a quantitative scope. Their number is representative of an evident avidity to improve one’s mind. to think, to create and try out, even to assert their intellectuality; this assertion’s being concretised in a privileged way thanks to writing. Their social and numeric importance also finds its reflect in literature, which is often the distorting mirror of this fact of society. Novels, poems, short stories, tales and theatre plays present them sometimes in a flattering way, sometimes ridiculing them. Indeed, this intellectual conquest of women is not carried out without disrupting mentalities, particularly the masculine’s ones, which traduce much as reserve and rejection as enthusiasm and admiration. The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze this multiple phenomenon, at a time historical, social and literary, through a corpus of 600 texts embracing philosophical and medical, political and juridical, moral and religious, educational and formalistic, fictional and poetic views. Erudite women have performed a play certainly distinguished at this time, but sometimes in the shade. We have to bring it to light to understand better the 18th century. So this dissertation fits in the time of an action against the amnesia in relation to a multitude unsuspected and beyond suspicion of women who have worked in the progress of learning and the literary and scientific culture’s one. On the one hand it intends to rehabilitate scholarly and knowledgeable women in their social and intellectual existence and their difficulty in living so. On the other side it intends to underline their role in the learning. It wants to show haw these scholarly and knowledgeable women have been able to reach such a status, to grow on the sanctuary of learning, and to see what has been the welcome they received in the Republic of Letters and Sciences. Finally, it has the ambition of studying the perception we had, in the 18th century, in relation to these women who write and invent, in both literary and scientific fields. At this purpose, it examines the different images of these characters conveyed by literature; it tries to define and explain the analogies and differences in representations, this with regard to the literary, historical, social and ideological contexts of the time
