    O texto investiga os sentidos do isolamento na lírica de Mascha Kaléko. Interessa à abordagem em particular os significados sociais no tratamento do tema da solidão em algumas composições reunidas no título "Das lyrische Stenogrammheft", de 1933. O trânsito entre vida pública e privada, assim como as articulações daí resultantes, que tensionam os conflitos individuais no contexto da cidade moderna, organizam, aqui, os critérios de aproximação aos poemas. O objetivo é reconhecer na poesia da autora uma possibilidade de relacionar de maneira produtiva o momento presente e o potencial interpretativo implicado na representação da experiência da metrópole, partindo de Berlim, na República de Weimar. This paper explores the meanings of isolation in Mascha Kaléko's lyric poetry, especially in some pieces from the collection "Das lyrische Stenogrammheft" (1933). More specifically, I intend to outline the social formations of loneliness in these poems, whilst analysing individual conflicts between public and private spheres in modern urban life. As a result, Kaléko's lyric poetry may offer an interpretative framework grounded on a historical representation of the metropolis (Weimar Berlin) for assessing present-day issues, such as self-absorption and loss of community.

    Philipp Melanchthon (1497-1560), der heute vorwiegend als Theologe und Mitstreiter der lutherischen Reformation bekannt ist, hat ein umfangreiches Ensemble lateinischer und griechischer Gedichte verfasst, die ein breites Spektrum von Themen und poetischen Formen umfassen. Eine entscheidende Rolle kommt dabei, so das hier vorgetragene Argument, der Motivik und Metaphorik des einfachen, gewöhnlichen Lebens zu, die in Melanchthons Dichtungen stilbildend wirken. Teils im Rekurs auf antike Vorlagen, teils in Anschluss an die biblischen Schriften, entwickelt der Dichter eine Sprache des Alltäglichen, die seiner poetischen Rede ihren charakteristischen Ton des 'sermo humilis' verleiht.

    Publicada em alemão no ano de 2000, a coletânea "Post Bellum" de Dragica Rajčić trata das memórias da guerra nos Bálcãs e do princípio de alteridade experimentado pela voz lírica. Este artigo tem por objetivo discutir três poemas dessa coletânea: "suisse like home", "Hunderste gedicht ohne trenen" e "Ein Haus, nirgends". Com foco na figuração da casa, o artigo inicia com uma discussão teórica do conceito de casa e passa a discutir os poemas e as imagens da casa, com interesse, sobretudo, na questão do pertencimento. Published in German, in 2000, the collection of poems "Post Bellum" written by Dragica Rajčić concerns war memories in the Balkans and the principle of otherness experienced by the lyrical I. This article discusses three poems from this collection: "suisse like home", "Hunderste gedicht ohne trenen" and "Ein Haus, nirgends". Focusing on the representation of home, this article begins with a theoretical discussion on the concept of home and goes on to discuss the poems and their home images, interested, above all, in the matter of belonging.

    Este artigo apresenta o "Réquiem a uma Amiga" (tradução no final do artigo) com algumas reflexões ensaísticas sobre o lugar desse poema na obra do poeta R. M. Rilke. Iniciaremos com observações biográficas (os encontros do poeta com a escultora Clara Westhoff e sua amiga Paula em Paris em 1900) que ocasionaram o estudo da pintura de paisagem e um pequeno livro de ocasião de Rilke sobre a colônia de artistas de Worpswede, no norte da Alemanha. O forte impacto que esses encontros - e em particular a análise das telas de Paula Modersohn-Becker em 1905 - tiveram sobre a sensibilidade poética de Rilke contribuíram para a nova forma estilística ('Dingwendung') que se manifesta na obra madura de Rilke. Apresentamos assim um momento de vida e um aspecto específico do desenvolvimento da relação do poeta e de sua obra com as artes plásticas, que ilumina o papel da poesia como trabalho de luto do poeta e como prefiguração das obras da fase madura dos Sonetos e das Elegias. This paper presents Rilke's "Requiem to a Friend" (with a translation at the end of the article) with some essayistic reflections on the place of this poem about Paula Modersohn-Becker's death in the life and the work of the poet. We will begin with biographical observations about Clara Westhoff and her friend Paula meeting Rilke in Paris in 1900 - an encounter that occasioned the study of landscape painting and a small book by Rilke about the artist colony of Worpswede in northern Germany. The strong impact that these encounters - and in particular the analysis of Paula Modersohn-Becker's canvases in 1905 - had on Rilke's poetic sensibility contributed to the new stylistic form ('Dingwendung') that manifests itself in Rilke's mature work. We thus present a moment in life and a specific aspect of the development of the relationship of the poet and his work to the fine arts, and of poetry as an artistic process of mourning which announces the mature phase of the Sonnets and the Elegies.

    Tensioned between variations of the said and the unsaid, and between figures of light and shadow, Paul Celan's work performs a certain confrontation with the condition of silence and obscurity, breaking all at once with a certain way of making poetry and of relating to reality. In this sense, Celan's work can hardly be reduced to a kind of hermeticism, a category too vague to account for its singularity. In his work saying and silencing together articulate the tension that creates the poetic space in which the poem is inscribed. The poet himself tried to refuse the insistence of some critics on labeling his work as obscure. ... A partir da tensão entre variações do dito e do não-dito e entre figuras de luz e sombra, a obra de Paul Celan performa um certo enfrentamento da condição de silêncio e de obscuridade – de onde seu estigma como obra hermética –, rompendo, a um só tempo, com um certo modo de fazer poesia e de se relacionar com a realidade. Nesse sentido, a obra de Celan não se deixaria resumir a uma espécie de hermetismo, categoria demasiadamente vaga para dar conta da singularidade de sua obra. Em sua obra, dizer e calar seriam, antes, os termos de articulação de uma relação que instaura o espaço poético em que se inscreve o poema. Em diversas ocasiões o próprio poeta tentaria refutar a insistência de alguns críticos em rotular sua obra como obscura. ...

    German immigration to Brazil starts in the 19th century. In Brazil, the Literature of German Immigrants has been the subject of many studies. On the other hand, the literary production on immigration to Brazil produced in Germany during this period, is still quite unknown. This article will discuss one specific poem in this context, a text from 1847 called 'Traurige Rückwanderung der Brasilianer nach ihrem jüngst verlassenen Vaterlande'.
