    Abstract ; Untersucht werden komische Holocaust-Texte und Erzählstrategien von Autorinnen und Autoren der Postmemory-Generation. Dabei wird gezeigt, dass diese Texte ohne die kanonischen Texte der Holocaust-Literatur Überlebender, die ''Lagerliteratur'', undenkbar wären. Analysen komischer Holocaust-Texte von Maxim Biller, Eva Menasse, Edgar Keret und Robert Schindel machen deutlich, wie und warum in diesen Texten gegen klassische Postulate der Komiktheorie verstoßen werden muss. Dabei werden das innovative Potential und die Grenzen komischer Schreibweisen in der Holocaust-Literatur der Postmemory-Generation herausgearbeitet. Gleichzeitig werden auf Grundlage der Textanalysen die Komiktheorien selbst hinterfragt und Kategorien wie Groteske, Humor, absurde Komik und Zynismus einer Analyse unterzogen. Diese Veröffentlichung geht zurück auf eine Magisterarbeit am Institut für deutsche Literatur der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin aus dem Jahr 2006/07. ; Abstract ; The thesis explores narrative strategies in Holocaust literature by authors of the postmemory generation such as humorous approaches. It shows that texts from the canon of Holocaust literature written by survivors are the presupposition of humorous texts by authors of the postmemory-generation. Novels and stories by Maxim Biller, Eva Menasse, Edgar Keret, and Robert Schindel are analyzed and confronted with key postulates of comic theory. Vice versa comic theory and its categories such as humor, absurdity, grotesque, and cynicism are subjected to critical analysis.

    The objective of the contributions presented in this volume is the investigation of authorship in pre-modern Arabic texts. From several angles and different perspectives it has been asked how the author in his various facets and aspects, and as a principle of organization and guidance, can be traced and understood. The author can be perceived as a historical individual, a singular genius, or a gifted anthologist; he can claim authority or pass it on to others. The author can be invisible, applying textual strategies for steering the reader’s perception and interpretation, trying to leave the reader oblivious to his authorial interference. Although authors can be proud to present their knowledge and their opinions, they can also be reluctant to show themselves and can even disclaim their responsibility, depending on the issue at hand. The contributions gathered in this volume provide a fresh view on the multilayered nature of authorial functions and open up new perspectives on our understanding of the rich and diverse pre-modern Arabic culture and literature.

    Abstract: Utopia is a universal concept, as manifested by the fact that it has attracted readers of five centuries and has influenced numerous writers. It is obvious that people, recognizing the abundant stupidities, corruptions, and injustice prevalent in their society, should attempt to plan a better system for living together. Whether they can reach such a society or not is the fundamental question found in most Vonnegut’s works. The utopian schemes in Vonnegut’s works such as the settlement of San Lorenzo in Cat's Cradle, almost always backfire, often bringing about more problems than they promise to solve. Therefore, in this paper, it is aimed to emphasize Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle regarding the concepts of utopia and dystopia as well as apocalyptical notions. Apocalypse can be investigated in Cat’s Cradle and it gives a serious quality to Vonnegut's work. The emptiness of mere survival is painfully described in Cat's Cradle, in which the earth is locked in frozen death

    Abstract: As one of the outstanding Iranian playwrights, Akbar Radi (1939-2007) is known to be influenced by Henrik Ibsen and Anton Chekhov. Occasionally by his critics, he was called as "The Persian Chekhov" but they never expounded comprehensively the details of the given epithet which might be derived from similarities, influences and inspirations among Radi and Chekov. By analyzing these similarity cases, this essay attempts to figure out whether this resemblance is resulted from the conscious impressionability.     Abstract: This article is based on an attempt to introduce and study a new-found manuscript containing four Hadith books: "Tohfa-al-seddigh, Fasl-al-khetab, Ons-al-lohfan, Matlubon-kolle-taleb." These four Hadith books include Hadiths of the first four caliphs, interpreted by Rashid-al-din Vatvat; distinguished writer of sixth century in Kharazmshahian court. The remarks of two hadith books (Fasl-al-khetab and Matlubon-kolle-taleb) are also changed into persion poem. With a thematic point of view, some scribes have collected these four Hadith books into one book and named it: "Remarks of the four Chosen fellows" or " Hundred remarks of the four prophets fellows".
