    Abstract: Ziel der Betrachtung ist die Frage nach dem wechselseitigen Zusammenhang von Gegenstand und Form in Bezug auf die Analyse von Lebensproblemen und Selbstidentifikationen von Autobiographinnen. In diesem Sinne werden die methodische und methodologische Vorgehensweise bei der Analyse von Frauenautobiographien von 1890 bis 1914 und deren Ergebnisse vorgestellt. Neben der Auswahl der Untersuchungsgruppe wird die Analyse der Autobiographien nach dem Verfahren der 'Grounded Theory' vorgestellt. Als Resultat ergaben sich für die Autobiographien fünf Lebensthemen: Familie, Beruf, Politik, Dichtkunst und Musik. Die Hauptrepräsentanten der jeweiligen Lebensthemen sowie die dazugehörigen Vergleichsfälle wurden ausführlich sequenzanalytisch interpretiert. Hierzu wurde auf Interpretationsverfahren narrativer Interviews (Fritz Schütze) zurückgegriffen. Bei der Vorstellung einiger Ergebnisse der Autobiographie-Analyse wird deutlich, dass die Autobiographinnen ein weites Spektrum autobiographischer

    Abstract: "Die Untersuchung nähert sich aus kulturwissenschaftlicher Sicht der biographisch orientierten Darstellung von demenziellen Erkrankungen durch nahe Angehörige. Dafür werden anhand von ausgewählten Dokumenten unterschiedliche Erzähl- und Darstellungsformen miteinander verglichen: Eine professionell geschriebene und publizierte Alzheimer-Narration wird auf ihre erzählerischen Muster hin analysiert. Diese werden auf ganz ähnliche Weise auch in einem nichtpublizierten, privaten Tagebuch nachgewiesen, während eine weitere private Familienchronik auch ohne besondere Gestaltungsweisen einen vergleichbaren poetischen und reflexiven Gehalt akkumuliert. Die Untersuchung fokussiert sich dabei besonders auf den schwierig zu fassenden Grenzbereich zwischen der schwindenden Ausdrucksfähigkeit der Erkrankten selbst auf der einen und der relationalen Erfahrung der Angehörigen auf der anderen Seite." In fact this novel devalues the values of this period by bucking the system of Victorian norms and values. This is manifested in the change of Ruth from a naïve to mature girl through her fall. In fact her fall makes her wise. When she dies she is given a funeral which is given to a virtuous woman. Her funeral is a slap on the face of the Victorian ideals of goodness and badness. This tells us that the values should be revised when such a person is not that much bad while she is considered bad. Gaskell devalues the values of Victorian society through her heroine’s migration and her living under a false name to teach us a lesson as to how shaky the Victorian ideas are and should be checked again. There are, however, diverse techniques for formulating these conscious or unconscious autobiographical interpolations in literary works. This essay aims to study the works of Sidonie-Gabreille Colette and Virginia Woolf to trace the nuances of the autobiographical mode in two contemporary female writers from different nations. We do not aim at proving that these two writers deploy the autobiographical mode in their writings, but how similar and different their autobiographical techniques in the creation of fiction are. The majority of Angela Carter's work revolve around a specific type of feminism, radical libertarian feminism and her critique of the patriarchal role that have been placed on women. In this article, the main concentrate is on heroine’s internalized consciousness which echoes in their behavior.     Abstract: Angela Carter (1940-92) in her famous short story, The Bloody Chamber, depicts a protagonist whose identity seems to be a predetermined sign in a signifying loop from which she can make no escape. In the first part of our paper, we attempt to show how The protagonist's ensuing psychological tension is aggravated by the conflict which she feels between her ideal ego (as an innocent girl) and her ego-ideal (a rare talent for corruption) and which leads her to unrelenting introspection and interior dialogue with her existential states. Such interior dialogue provides the protagonist with an existential ground on which she empties all her life events of their presence by signifying (or verbalizing) them through Derridean Differance. Therefore, her interior dialogue results in non-identity in her subjectivization both in the realm of signs and of (social) events.     Abstract: The modes of narration in postmodernist fiction are not identical with those of modernists and realists. They contravene readers' expectations, making them most often astounded and baffled. This study sets out to discuss some of the techniques used by the American writer Robert Coover in his story collection; Pricksongs & Descants (1969) which are associated with postmodernist fiction. These strategies including metafictional techniques, fragmentation, ontological concern, and temporal distortion, will in the subsequent sections of this paper be explicated and elucidated. In this regard, the term postmodernism will be first defined and elaborated, and then some of the salient features of Coover's selected work stated above, will be examined in order to demonstrate the title-mentioned claim. Not all the stories of the collection will in this study be provided an analysis of, but those which are of greater significance and are noticeable in incorporating postmodern strategies

    Abstract: While fathers seldom say "I love you" to their son(s), there is also acknowledgment that sons rarely say it to their father. Confessions of love are like notes in a melody of previous affirmations, so what is it like for a son to say it, especially if large parts of his life are spent in "connective avoidance" with his dad? Writing on the (im)possibility of eventually saying "I love you", just before he died, I offer a "blissfully poetic" account of the experience of saying it. I also reflect on the lingering significance it has had for my experience of loss and bereavement. Although this text offers no easy formula, it ends by showing what a text of bliss might eventually look like for a son in recovery. Addressing the questions, so what? And, now what, then? implications beyond the self are also considered

Short story of "sisters" narrates feelings of a boy about death of a priest. The first woman, who is afraid of love, a mother in law speaks about ambition and destroys her daughter. It ispainful narrative of a single man, who leaves the woman he loves and the woman finds in the time of her death that he has been in his loneliness all his life. Accordingly, it could be mentioned that the author has selected in his short stories a style that Flober has been its establisher. A striking feature of this research area is the diversity of the narratives that are used in the various studies. Narratives that convey a health message differ widely on a large number of dimensions related to the content, form and context. We expect that these characteristics are potential explanatory factors in the effectiveness of the narratives. To provide an overview of the different characteristics of narratives in health effects research and of the persuasive effects that were found, we review 153 experimental studies on health-related narrative persuasion with a focus on the narrative stimuli. The results show that: a) with regard to the content, showing the healthy behavior in a narrative (as opposed to the unhealthy behavior with negative consequences) may be associated with effects on intention. Dabei geht es nicht allein um ein weiteres Untersuchungsfeld, sondern um einen neuen intellektuellen Stil, der sich an hermeneutisch-interpretativen Traditionen orientiert. Im Rückgriff auf diskurspsychologische, konversationsanalytische, literaturwissenschaftliche und sprachphilosophische Überlegungen wird diskutiert, warum das Studium der Narration auch für die Psychologie eine viel versprechende Perspektive anbietet. In einer kritischen Diskussion herkömmlicher erzähl-theoretischer Konzeptionen wird dafür plädiert, das Erzählen als eine soziale und diskursive Praxis zu verstehen, und zwar im Sinne Wittgensteins als Sprachspiel und Lebensform.'     Abstract: Poststrukturalistische sowie postmoderne Sprachphilosophie hat vielleicht die Zeit, da sie in aller Munde war, schon wieder hinter sich. Gleichwohl verankert sich gegenwärtig unter ihrem Einfluss ein Konsens darüber, dass sprachliche Zeichengefüge nicht eine ihnen vorgängige Wirklichkeit abbilden, sondern dass das, was als wahr und wirklich bezeichnet wird, ein Ergebnis sprachlicher Kommunikation darstellt. In unserer Disziplin ist dies eine Einsicht, die sich seit etwa eineinhalb Jahrzehnten insbesondere der Soziale Konstruktionismus (Gergen 1985) und die Kulturpsychologie (Bruner 1986, 1990) zu eigen gemacht haben. Sie treffen sich im Konzept eines narrativen Konstruktionismus (Gergen & Gergen 1988). Dessen zentrale These lautet: Wir stellen uns selbst und unsere Welt her, indem wir Geschichten ("narratives") erzählen, wiedererzählen und umerzählen.     Abstract: In 1979, Carter published one of her mast renowned collections of short fiction, The Bloody Chamber. The majority of Angela Carter's work revolve around a specific type of feminism, radical libertarian feminism and her critique of the patriarchal role that have been placed on women. which she promotes feminist due to her style, referred to as "Galm-Rock" feminism In this article, the main concentrate is on heroine's internalized consciousness which echoes in their behavior. All of the female protagonists in carter's short stories; such as The Werewolf, The Wolf-Alice, and mainly in The Company of Wolves have similar characteristics with different conditions, in which they are represented in a very negative light with less than ideal roles. In these stories, the protagonist is a young girl who has many conflicts with love and desire. Carter attempts to encourage women to do something about this degrading representation

    Abstract: Apart from classical ways of using narrative analysis in everyday communication as well as in linguistics and sociology (eh. 3) it is conceivable to detect the narrator's interest constellations (eh. 4) and a central stock of his general action capacities and specific institutional skills (eh. 2,5) by way of his retrospective interpretation in verbal off-hand narratives of his own past eonduct. His willingness to tell about personal experiences gets hirn into constraints to become more specific on the one hand, for if events are being told their respeetive consequences as new events have to be revealed etc. This constraint to become more specific brings up the narrator's former and partly (at the time of the narrative) still existent actual interest constellations, because those are motivating, constituting elements of the events to be told about.     Abstract: "Die vorliegende Arbeit geht der Frage nach, ob und gegebenenfalls welche Wirkungen autobiographisches Erzählen als spontanes Erzählen von Selbsterlebtem auf BiographInnen haben kann. Den Untersuchungsrahmen liefert das autobiographisch-narrative Interview nach Schütze (1983), welches zur Erzählung der eigenen Lebensgeschichte anregt und verstärkt in der Biographieforschung Anwendung findet. Dabei werden nicht nur mögliche Chancen autobiographischen Erzählens aufgezeigt, sondern wird auch möglichen Risiken der Erzählung nachgegangen. Aufgrund der noch überschaubaren Anzahl an sozialwissenschaftlichen Publikationen zu diesem Thema wird die theoretische Aufarbeitung des Forschungsstands mittels empirischer Untersuchung ergänzt. Der Mehrwert sowohl für die Erzähl- wie auch für die Interviewperson, Hinweise für einen angemessenen Umgang in der Interviewsituation sowie weitere forschungspraktische Tipps werden in der Auswertung herausgearbeitet."
