    Le terme "gouslé" (du serbe "gusle") désigne à la fois un instrument de musique et la tradition épique des Slaves du Sud. Du fait qu'elle est restée vivante jusqu'à nos jours, cette tradition est susceptible de contribuer à la compréhension des autres épopées, en substituant son contexte aux leurs, souvent perdus ou incomplets. Je présente les gouslés, leur technique, leur histoire et leur tradition, avant de passer à une comparaison avec les chants homériques et les chansons de geste. Cette comparaison repose sur la linguistique de corpus et l'utilisation des technologies de l'information. Un corpus contenant 3.665.309 mots est établi à cette fin, dont la partie slave est rendu publique sur le site guslarskepesme.com. Tout en suivant le sillage de Milman Parry et Albert Lord, je propose un élargissement de leur concept de "formule" The term "gousle" refers to both a musical instrument and the South Slavic epic tradition. Because it has remained alive to this day, this tradition is likely to contribute to the understanding of other epics, by substituting its context for theirs, often lost or incomplete. I present the gousl', their technique, their history and tradition, before moving to a comparison with the Homeric songs and the Chansons de geste. This comparison is based on the corpus linguistics and the use of information technology. A corpus containing 3.665.309 words is established for that purpose and its Slavic part is published on the site guslarskepesme.com. While following the path traced by Milman Parry and Albert Lord, I propose broadening of their concept of "formula". I reintroduce the "cliché", a unit including the invariant as well as its variable realization, and aspiring to encompass any recurrence within the poetic language : phraseologic or other. Indeed, my thesis shows a network of links extending not only between the clichés of the same level, but also through different levels, which I explain by a theory of resonance. The correspondences integrate a typological classification: speeches, place, time, feelings... In addition to this common "morphology", I demonstrate that the three traditions, from the socio-historic point of view, share the comparable models of development. Finally, a particulary complex cliché, the device named "Slavic antithesis", is used to examine the monogenetic or polygenetic origin of correspondences

    Le médecin Jean Zacharias Actouarios, actif à Constantinople dans le premier tiers du XIVe siècle, a joué un rôle important à son époque non seulement en tant que médecin, mais aussi comme auteur de plusieurs oeuvres médicales de grande qualité. Son oeuvre a connu une large diffusion, ainsi qu'en témoigne la richesse de tradition manuscrite, mais est pour une bonne part inédite. Son oeuvre a connu une large diffusion, ainsi qu'en témoigne la richesse de la tradition manuscrite, mais est pour une bonne part inédite. Le but de cette thèse était d'établir l'histoire du texte du premier livre du traité De urinis, qui a été édité par J. L. Ideler en 1841, mais sans apparat critique ni présentation du ou des manuscrits utilisés comme base de son édition. On a pu repérer près de 40 manuscrits contenant le traité qui est d'ailleurs encore reproduit par des érudits occidentaux au XVIIe siècle. Le De urinis comprend sept livres qui s'attachent successivement à la description de la diversité des urines, le diagnostic, l'étiologie et le pronostic. Dans le premier livre, Jean Zacharias Actouarios expose comment se font l'examen des urines et l'analyse de leurs caractéristiques, selon un ordonnancement en chapitres rigoureusement agence. Ce traité est en général présenté comme un chef-d'oeuvre de la médecine byzantine ; la recherche faite dans le cadre de cette thèse a montré son originalité par rapport aux autres traités sur les urines déjà existés. Jean Zacharias Actouarios a mis en valeur la théorie et la pratique médicale et a rédigé un ouvrage méthodique et systématique caractérisé par une profondeur de raisonnement et à visée pédagogique The doctor Johannes Zacharias Actuarius, active in Constantinople during the first third of the 14e century, had an important role in his time, not only as a doctor, but also as an author of many medical treatises of big quality. His work knew a large diffusion, as the manuscript tradition indicates, but still remains - for a major part - unpublished. This thesis aims to establish the text history of the first book of the treatise De urinis, which was published by J. L. IDELER in 1841, but without any apparatus criticus neither any presentation of the manuscripts used as a basis for this edition. We were able to identify about 40 manuscripts that contain the treatise which was otherwise reproduced by the occidental scholars until the 17e century.De urinis is divised into seven books dealing with the description of the urines varieties, the diagnostic, the etiology and the prognostic. In the first book, Johannes Zacharias Actuarius describes the method of examining the urines and analysing their characteristics, with a rigorous chapter organisation: This treatise is generally considered as a masterpiece of the byzantine medicine. The research that took place in the frame of this thesis showed this treatise originality in relation to the earlier works concerning the same subject.     Le premier volume présente une étude du Hiéron ou sur la tyrannie, dialogue écrit par Xénophon d'Athènes, auteur prolifique du IVe siècle av. J.C. Le second volume présente le texte grec, une nouvelle traduction, des notes et un index répertoriant les mots grecs. L'étude poursuit plusieurs objectifs. Elle propose une réflexion sur la méthodologie d'approche de Xénophon ; une analyse de sa structure rhétorique ; une analyse de sa place dans le corpus xénophontique ; une étude du message historique ; une analyse du texte dans le contexte de la tradition des épinicies et du genre de Fürstenspiegel grec ; des biographies des prototypes choisis par l'auteur ; et des rapprochements avec les textes parallèles écrits par d'autres théoriciens politiques, Platon, Isocrate et Aristote. Selon nous, le dialogue de Xénophon doit être lu comme une réaction consciente et motivée au portait du tyran platonicien décrit dans les livres VIII et IX de la République. Nous soutenons aussi qu'Aristote a lu le Hiéron et que les chapitres de sa Politique consacrés aux méthodes de sauvegarde de la tyrannie élaborent les idées proposées par Xénophon. Après avoir examiné toutes les hypothèses proposées par les historiens et tous les candidats du prototype, nous concluons que c'est à Denys l'Ancien, tyran de Syracuse entre 403 et 376 av. J.C, que Xénophon a pensé. Un ensemble d'observations et d'arguments nous font placer la date de la composition après 358. L'étude examine aussi la réception du Hiéron faite par le philosophe américain Leo Strauss (1899-1973) qui a proposé une lecture radicalement ironique du Hiéron qui ne nous semble pas pertinente The first volume contains an elaborate study of the Hiero or Tyrannicus, dialogue written by Xenophon, a prolific author of the IVth century BC. The second volume presents a new translation in French, notes and an index of greek words. The study itself has several aims: it proposes a reflection on the methodology of reading Xenophon; an analysis of the rhetorical structure of the text; an analysis of its place in the corpus xenophonticum; a study of its political message in the historical context of the Greek IVth century; an analysis in the context of the epinician tradition, as well as the tradition of the Greek Fürstenspiegel. It also provides biographies and studies of the two prototypes of the persons of the dialogue, looks into the established topoi about the tyranny that Xenophon worked on and provides detailed comparisons with parallel texts written by important political theorists, Isocrates, Plato and Aristotle. I try to show that the dialogue must be read as a conscious and motivated reaction to the tyrant's portrait in books VIII and IX of the Republic. I also believe that Aristotle had read the Hiero, and the chapters of the Politics that deal with the methods of preserving the tyranny are influenced by some of the Xenophon's ideas. After a detailed study of different historians' hypotheses concerning the prototype tyrant, I conclude that Xenophon must have thought about Dionysius the Elder, tyrant of Syracuse between 403 and 376 BC. A certain amount of observations and arguments seem to prove that the dialogue was written shortly after 358 BC. The last part is devoted to the reception of the Hiero made by the american philosopher Leo Strauss (1899-1973) who proposed a radically ironic reading of the Hiero that is not historically plausible

    Le premier volume présente une étude du Hiéron ou sur la tyrannie, dialogue écrit par Xénophon d'Athènes, auteur prolifique du IVe siècle av. J.C. Le second volume présente le texte grec, une nouvelle traduction, des notes et un index répertoriant les mots grecs. L'étude poursuit plusieurs objectifs. Elle propose une réflexion sur la méthodologie d'approche de Xénophon ; une analyse de sa structure rhétorique ; une analyse de sa place dans le corpus xénophontique ; une étude du message historique ; une analyse du texte dans le contexte de la tradition des épinicies et du genre de Fürstenspiegel grec ; des biographies des prototypes choisis par l'auteur ; et des rapprochements avec les textes parallèles écrits par d'autres théoriciens politiques, Platon, Isocrate et Aristote. Selon nous, le dialogue de Xénophon doit être lu comme une réaction consciente et motivée au portait du tyran platonicien décrit dans les livres VIII et IX de la République. Nous soutenons aussi qu'Aristote a lu le Hiéron et que les chapitres de sa Politique consacrés aux méthodes de sauvegarde de la tyrannie élaborent les idées proposées par Xénophon. Après avoir examiné toutes les hypothèses proposées par les historiens et tous les candidats du prototype, nous concluons que c'est à Denys l'Ancien, tyran de Syracuse entre 403 et 376 av. J.C, que Xénophon a pensé. Un ensemble d'observations et d'arguments nous font placer la date de la composition après 358. L'étude examine aussi la réception du Hiéron faite par le philosophe américain Leo Strauss (1899-1973) qui a proposé une lecture radicalement ironique du Hiéron qui ne nous semble pas pertinente The first volume contains an elaborate study of the Hiero or Tyrannicus, dialogue written by Xenophon, a prolific author of the IVth century BC. The second volume presents a new translation in French, notes and an index of greek words. The study itself has several aims: it proposes a reflection on the methodology of reading Xenophon; an analysis of the rhetorical structure of the text; an analysis of its place in the corpus xenophonticum; a study of its political message in the historical context of the Greek IVth century; an analysis in the context of the epinician tradition, as well as the tradition of the Greek Fürstenspiegel. It also provides biographies and studies of the two prototypes of the persons of the dialogue, looks into the established topoi about the tyranny that Xenophon worked on and provides detailed comparisons with parallel texts written by important political theorists, Isocrates, Plato and Aristotle. I try to show that the dialogue must be read as a conscious and motivated reaction to the tyrant's portrait in books VIII and IX of the Republic. I also believe that Aristotle had read the Hiero, and the chapters of the Politics that deal with the methods of preserving the tyranny are influenced by some of the Xenophon's ideas. After a detailed study of different historians' hypotheses concerning the prototype tyrant, I conclude that Xenophon must have thought about Dionysius the Elder, tyrant of Syracuse between 403 and 376 BC. A certain amount of observations and arguments seem to prove that the dialogue was written shortly after 358 BC. The last part is devoted to the reception of the Hiero made by the american philosopher Leo Strauss (1899-1973) who proposed a radically ironic reading of the Hiero that is not historically plausible
